Hard Task

To Dream a house is really a dream till it materalize. Although the writer has given many good and great points for house hunting in the write up but still several points are untouched like mental pressure when the settlement is almost final but just for few lakh rupees the whole dream shatters.

I really appreciate all the points being touched in the write up regarding purchase a House. But i would surely suggest to all that when you start planning a house, try to get whole amount ready before dreaming to start a new life in a new home.

All the best!
Sucharita

sir
kudos to rediff news team. of late, you are addressing lot of day to day problems which a middle class family man faces and giving a detailed account of what is what. i earnestly appreciate for your efforts. Most of the indians are honest and they dont know the dos and donts of anything and everything. Utilising this ignorance, some middlemen take advantage and trap people. you are directing people by giving the complete information on the subject, be it health, education or other areas. pl. continue your service and keep it up. the article is well written and covers all aspects.
regards
ravi.

House hunting

Hi,
I am hunting house in western suburb area.

I am not able to decide which construction is better, older one or new one. With new one the maintainance is very high around 3 to 4 Rs./Sq. Ft and carpet area offered is very low.
But for older apartment which is considerably in good condition maintainance is very low.

I would like to hear merits and demerits of buying older and new apartment as well as some other important information I may not be knowing.
