U have not mentioned anything about earphones. does it mean that u consider the damage caused by them is equal, or earphones will cause even more damage?
Okay I agree that wearing a head phone or cont work to our ears damage them...but your article woudl have been still better if you would have suggested some tips or betterways to reduce the impact !!

I can suggest some tips 1)Use the headphones only if you must 2)Keep the volume low. 3)Remove the headphones after a use of 30 min continuous use for at least for 10 minutes .

i agree with rajalakshmi.but the companies like Apple will surely have designed ipod/players in a way so as to reduce the harm on ears.
