Interest on home loan
by Mahendra Pradhan on Jul 09, 2009 04:35 PM

My cousin who expired had taken a loan of Rs. 10.00 lakhs. The loan was insured and the balance amount of Rs. 8.50 lakhs was claimed from the insurer instantly after death. The insurer delayed payment by about a year and made a payment of Rs. 8.50 lakhs only. In the meantime the Bank continued to charge interest on the total loan amount along with penalty charges. This amount is now being claimed from the wife of my cousin. What does the rule of insurance provide.

On the face of it CitiBank looks professional, but actually they are very deceptive bankers that you only get to know when you become a customer of it.

Look for more options if you have time.

help regarding ''Home Assure''
by Guest on Jul 24, 2008 05:10 PM

my father had taken a home loan from ICICI, and he unfortunately passed away a week back due to a heart attack.he had told us in his lifetime that he HAD taken a policy in which if anything happens to him, the loan amount would be paid off by the insurance company.

i went and checked with ICICI prulife, and they did a search with my fathers Date of Birth, but it did not find any results, and they say , they cant search with my fathers name in their database as there would be too many people with the same name.i double checked all the documents @ home for any policy number of "Home assure" , but could not find any..

I dont know what to do, am a student and need help !
i can be contacted at flankerfreak @ gmail
