investment for my child

I have gone through yr site for the same subjcet. But i want information from ur directly for me personnally.
I am 28 yr old housewife and my husband is a software engineer. We had loan on our home and a car. but i want such plan which i can handle sepeartely. I can invest from my home balance about rs.1000 pm.
My girl child is now 31/2 yrs old. Please guide me on fixed deposit and recurring fix deposit schemes. Which banks should i prefer for it most.

tell me about saving plans of my daughters

Dear Sir,
I got married in the year 1990 and my first daughter was born in 1991 , second daughter in 1995 and my son was born in 2000.
well i am in to textiles business and textiles industry got caught in to recession and losses from the year 1995 and onwards . I could not even continue even my Own L.I.C policies what to talk of Childrens' savings. I had to sell my prime properties in order to get rid of mounting debt.
Please advice me as my daughters n son now are 14 , 10 and 5 years.I just have been able to get done for them L.I.C policies of Rs.50,000 each that too during 2002.
I am much worried and need yr advice as circumstances never could make me do so.
I can set aside now about Rs.10,000 per month max , for children.
Please tell me how to go by keeping in view the present circumstances.
I will wait for yr mail and kindly advice and manage my portfolio as I am ready to pay some annual fees to somebody who can guide me to secure my family's overall future & portfolio mangament concerning above stated real picture.

risk of investment in mutual fund

i think there is a risk in investing in mutual fund as u r investing money for a deinate purpose and mutual fund doesnt give a gyarantee of returns
