sir, my name is mohnish & i am an employee of sharekhan ltd. my father is retired from a govt. job i want to purchase a new home which worths Rs. 85 lakhs i want to purchase that house & finance the whole amount. plz tell me how i can get loan.
I would be buying a house(resale) but I have to make the entire payment first and then the house would be transferred on my name...Is it possible to obtain a housing loan after I have already paid the seller? P.S: This amt that I will be paying would be borrowed from someone, hence the loan.

Just saw your query while reading the article: I guess in such a case one would require to take a mortgage loan. But you need to be the owner of the property for some fixed duration to avail of this kind of loan. Check out with any reputed banks for more information.

I think this article does not reflect the general questions of a house buyer across the country. It is not even useful for somebody hunting houses in other metros. The article is simple and well written, unfortunately it is Mumbai centric.
