I was associated with him for nearly 6 to 7 years in Himalaya. In the beginning I used to think that his talent will not make him earn what he deserves. The climate was not conducive for him to take initiative and prove his mettle. A few of us sensed that he had a creative brain and that he is very resourceful. But will he get an opportunity to give a shape for his skills and carve a niche for himself?
Let us talk about a guy who was in a disadvantageous state to start with? If a guy like that could climb up to the top rung of the ladder in HIMALAYA in just a matter of ten years, it speaks volumes of Confidence he possesses, the silent hard work he has put in and above all coming up with strategies, wich radiated such a glow that walls of disadvantage were blasted, leading to Mr. Ravi Prasad reaping rich rewards and being honoured by elevating him to the most coveted post. Mr.
Meraj Manal has been very charming and a role model to us rigt from the day I joined Himalaya. He was very young at that time but highly matured.
I am so happy to get this opportunity to dwell on my most favourite subject and memories of HIMALAYA.
The fact about the use of case studies and class participation is surely a great way to make a manager application oriented, and not being restricted to bookish concepts as i found out while at IIM Lucknow. The concepts are important as they serve as building blocks and structure ones thoughts, but they can never replace the case methodology.
This also happens to be the only reason why the IIMs still reign supreme in the country and manage to attract the creme-de-la-creme.
The interview encompasses a depth of success in life as in various fields. It gives a realistic account of both the degrees and the qualities that the young must have with them to make it to the top.
Seriously, I was not knowing Mr Ravi Prasad before reading this article. But i think that doesn't matter as now i know him. The article seems to be informative a lot and tells about the fact of life. It truely reflects what the recruiters expect from a perspective candidate who is being interviewed. also it stresses the important of hard work.
Where hard work is important, i think there might be many other factors like attitude, perseverance and pragmatism as well as innovation, that may be important for achieving success in life.
Firstly, I want to Congratulate the CEO Mr.Ravi Prasad for taking the Company to such heights in India and abroad. I was working for some period in Dubai, where in most of the Retail Outlets one complete shelf is meant for exclusively Himalan Herbal products. Me being a Bangalorean and a Brand Company hailing from this city it is a matter of pride for me.
I wish a great more success to this blue chip company in the Herbal Industry and I request rediffmail to have a detail interview with Mr.Ravi Prasad.
