child believe in God
by SANTHA V on Mar 01, 2005 02:40 PM

The article indicates child's faith in God connected with what relegion i.e. hindu, christianity, jain etc.etc.

I like to express here that irrespective of cast or creed, a person believes in the omnipotent, omnipresent, alpervading power-- or SUPER POWER-- THE CHINMAYA , is the person who has faith in God. As per the knowledge i gained from Bhagwat Gita there is no specific shaped God. God prevails within the person and he does't want to roam around for seeing the God within him/her. Hence this knowledge, if a person is having,, he is a true believer of God. That is my way of thinking of GOD.

A person with out ego, jeleaus, proud, equal reaction on happiness & sadness, has the power within has the God within.

bring up GOD
by satakarni on Mar 01, 2005 02:24 PM

Many (may be all)problems that a man is facing today, (although with his materialist mundane success) is due to the lack of spiritual nourshing at his childhood.A man who established proper base of spiritulity and faith of GOD can cope up with life very easily. When we read the biographies of personalities like Swami Vivekananda,Paramahansa Yogananda we can find that it is thier divine environment(that is the faith for GOD) created at thier childhood played a mojor role in thier later life.
The first thing children must be taught is GOD is omnipresent.God's presence should be realised in one's self....it possible only through patanjali's YOGA and Meditation.Yoga and medition must become a habit in thier daily routines. There are many teachers available in these fields, therefore Yoga and meditation should made as a part acadamic course. Then we find many Buddas, swami vivekanandas arosing from our country.
I am recommending these methods not because i am Hindu but because i felt there is ever-new-joy in these methods that most of us are missing it-but atleast the coming generation may make habit and carry thier joy and awarness of god through out thier life.

does ur child blv in GOD?
by shibu ambrose on Mar 01, 2005 02:16 PM  | Hide replies

Hi all
let me tell u one thing, no one has seen God on earth. but we all should blv that there is a POWER.
at the end of the day all the religions/ religious leaders say the same thing n come to the same conclusion.
regarding bringing ur child religiously; i would suggest that all should blv in God but no at the cost of hurting the feelin n emotions of others. i am a born x'tian but i hv been to Durgah of Ajmer, Swami Padmanabha Temple of Trivandrum [in both places non-hindus r not allowed unless u pretend to be]. so it is upto u to take up any religion. but you should not say that ur religion is superior n others' r inferior. "LOVE GOD AND DO WHAT U LIKE". that's what St. Augustine said. if you love God u won't do any wrong thing which would hurt others. so as far as i am concerned, there is no prob in bringing ur child to mk ur child blv in God [THE POWER / not the "putla"]

shibu ambrose, noida.
