A winning Statement of Purpose

This certainly is not a winning statement of purpose. I am amazed this could get her admission. She portrayed her family/society in a bad light just to garner some extra sentimental points. While this might be a great idea for getting in, frankly no university likes whining candidates and never self-boasting candidates.

this admission essay is highly disgusting

the admission essay by Sheela Kulkarni is highly inappropriate. Although it must have got her seat in warton but her essay shows her nature of being selfish and placing the image of poverty and backwardness on india. I dont know how come people can be so mean and selfish that they will sacrifice their national pride for their own own benefit. Anyone from india specially punjab can clearly make out that most of things stated in her essay are untrue.

I strongly advise rediff to properly scrutnise what it places on its website. U can find hundreds of admission essays which are in better taste then this one.
