Is there any basic article explaining "MUTUAL FUNDS"? Also why people say that Mutual Funds is sager option as compared to investing in IPOs?

The article on 5 stock market investment rules is very good. It is however very difficult to put theory into practice. Also one should remember that everyone cannot be in race, otherwise profit margins will shrink.

The article is good. All such rules gets framed after things happen in a positive way. One thing we must understand in our Stock Market, the presence of FII played a major role in the upliftment. The most important thing is the change of the government policies in bringing FDI in the Stock market. Had they not come then this appreciation would not have been possible. Its just like some body buys a house or a property in an area and within a years time Shopping Complexes and Malls come up within the vicinity and the market price shoots up. Without the FII support the index could not have moved from 3000 level in 2003 to 6800 as on date. Luck also plays and patience. these are my thoughts.
hi, i m convinced with your opinion of buying stocks when the market crashes or falls. it is true to buy stocks which are facing high selling pressure and sell those stocks which are in demand.
