toothpastes
by prakhar on Jul 12, 2008 01:50 PM

Besides all above, these are foreign companies. So the wealth of our country is draining to other countries. If you think that use of their herbal products like Colgate Active Salt etc., then you are wrong because they also contain fluoride in amount more than required. So stop using these expensive, foreign and harmful toothpastes and start using Indian herbal toothpastes. It will be best if you use Neem or Babool Datuns.

toothpastes

Few years ago Pepsodent distributed Pepsodent toothpaste among the students free of cost so that students may like it. Particles of unbaked calcium chloride affect teeth. A wet layer of a chemical is deposited on the gums which flay gums slowly. Hold of gums on teeth is loosened and their rims turn black.
Don’t think that it is safer to use Colgate than Pepsodent or Closeup. Most of the toothpastes which are selling like hot cakes contain Flouride which is as much poisonous as arsenic. If only a small amount of it gets entered into the digestive system it can result in fatal diseases such as Cancer.
In America, use of Fluoride in toothpastes is banned by Food & Health Department. Many cases are filed in the courts related to the disorders caused by fluoride. Colgate-Pamolive Company paid 265$ to the parents of a 10 year child of Esecks (England) because he got a dental disease named Fluorisis due to regular use of Colgate.
According to the research done by National Cancer Institute, America, about 10000 people die every year due to cancer caused by fluoride. This matter needs great consideration because fluoride enters gums and cause serious disorders. Children sometimes swallow toothpaste therefore it is more dangerous for them. Bone powder is also mixed in it.

Toothpastes Are Causing Tooth Decay and Cancer

Today many multinational companies are playing with the health of people by their respective toothpastes which are known to have antigerm properties. They are selling their toothpastes saying that they will provide strength to teeth and will sparkle them. But the above said properties of toothpastes are completely bullshit.
Pepsodent and Closeup which have been certified by I.M.A. are breaking their old records of selling by their attractive ads and jingles. It is clearly said by medical science that Calcium chloride should be used in toothpastes when it is completely baked. Use of unbaked calcium chloride is dangerous to health. It must be noticed that unbaked calcium chloride is used mostly in Pepsodent and Closeup .
Pepsodent Company is spending millions of dollars in ads to persuade people to buy their products but according to medical witness Pepsodent is declared unsafe.
Some people say that they have observed that their teeth are sparkling after the use of Pepsodent. Infact it removes yellowish layer on teeth first, then it goes on destroying enamel. Therefore first you will think that Pepsodent has made your teeth sparkling but after some years you will realize your mistake and then you will spend thousand rupees on your dental treatment or live bearing severe toothache.

congrats rashmi for good balanced article.
life has become too fast. the families are getting broken. so because of emotional insecurity youngsters are trying more than one partners. sex is just a part of it.
for working youngsters sex becomes relief from stress.no need to get emotionally involved everytime.
your advice to nivedita is the correct one but unfortunately money & looks still dominates young women's mind

REDIFF HAS NOTHING LEFT TO PUT ON THE SITE!!!
by Harit Shah on Aug 02, 2007 05:26 PM

It is obvious that rediff has become woefully short of decent content that it can put on its website, so it resorts to putting old articles of previous months (This article has already come many months back. Rediff, if you think we are fools, then THINK AGAIN!!!) Please start putting some decent stuff rather than "re-runs". There appears to be a "content bankruptcy" in rediff.

Periods
by Shahryar Pax on May 31, 2007 01:11 PM

Rashmi said, "She certainly would've given us periods annually -- not every month!"

Actually that was true in the past when women were almost always pregnant - because you do not have periods when you are preggers!

Doh!
