How should I invest ?
by Kashyap Hore on Aug 19, 2014 10:35 PM

Hi im 27 years old bachelor male at present my net salary is Rs 17,000.
i want to invest Rs 4,000 per month to earn a good return after 5 years.

I have started investing Rs 10,000 monthly from 19/08/2014 on Recurring Deposit of SBI for 1 year at 9% . I don't have any insurance policies at present. Should i stop the stop the RD and start investing in something else ?

Please advice me something for long term like 15 or 20 years keeping low monthly investment on mind. Thanks

Dear Friend,

You have not Mentioned about your salary or about you ( Bachelor or married) any way I will recommend to follow the below chart and try to save money.

We have make an budget about our salary and try to follow accordingly.

1. House Rent (or) Home Loan EMI - 30%
2.Regular Savings - 20%
3 Family Expence(Food,Milk etc) - 24%
4 Medical Insurance - 4%
5.Term Insurance - 2%
6. Child Education - 6%
7.Travel & Tour - 2%
8 Shopping – 4%
9.Emergency – 4%
10. Others - 4%

If you are Family men Medical Insurance and term Insurance is Must. For Short term Savings go for Bank FD, For Long term Go for SIP.

Further you will consider with your Financial Adviser.

All the Best.
