hi friends, well,taxing on our hard earned income or our lucky fortune will never ever be tolerated by masses in india atleast.of course these taxes are for our own benifits,but taxing on such a large scale is certainly not the thing which i'll ever fancy.well friends have a lot to tell you about this but i am running short of words.you can contact me at satyensawant@sify.com. bye.
Are you assuming people in India are so stupid or so naive that they would not know that income of any sort eg. gifts, prize-money, etc. will attract Tax?
And it is articles like these that create an impression that paying tax is not a desirable thing. Instead it might help if you could put a positive face to this saying better to be left with 30L than trying to avoid it and end up spending a couple of years, if not more, in the clinker.
Don't make Tax payment seem like a sin!! It is a duty that every citizen has to perform for this country. Forget giving alms to beggars or donating to charities, if all of us could pay our taxes we'd hardly be a third-world nation.
