A very good effort but preceeded with an inappropriate example of an aunt's highly-paid husband. With a 3 lakh credit pending and a personal loan, what would happen if he were to die suddenly albeit a monthly salary of 80k? The pending amount would have to be borne by the poor lady!

Great Article

Dear Dominic,

I greatly appreciate the efforts you have put in highliting the very hidden critical information, which all of us are unaware of.

I see most Banks saying Economy is good, with the kind of disposable income available to those earning good pay packets/ salary.

But Believe me, I hope you will agreee with me. there will be many people who are reeling under their Credit cards debt, paying MINIMUM AMOUNT DUE.

infact Banks always make the point to highlight the minimum amount duw on TOP Right - So credit card owners get sigh of relief.

But What they forget to see is 2.95% interest they have to pay, ON reducing balance this becomes clsoe to 40%-42% interest per annum.

Where on earth can we earn this interest/ annum (Except the Current Stock Market BOOM!, Which will not last every time).

I will request, if you could also write some articles for the younger generation- who are earning good money in Call Centre jobs, are spend thrift, Don't Value Money with the efforts they put to earn it.

Best Regards,

Naresh M Ganwani

Always do not look at the assets alone. Ask for various liabilities to know the near correct worth
