Online education is the bestest way one can achive the required education with all possible ways that one can achive. that is at once own time,and rate.
That is really gracious, n the best thing for a humble common student like me, who can't afforsd to go to US for that costly education.... Hats off to u MIT for enlightining the world... Our Govt. and educational institutes like IITs must learn something from it... It is truly based on the old saying "Gyan baantne se badhta hai".. I am feeling euphoric!!! Thanks MIT...
MIT OCW in short is just a collection of slides from different courses at MIT. For some courses they have adequate material for study and for most, they dont. we cannot make out everything from the slides though the quality of the content is good.
We should remember that OCW does not get us a certificate from MIT. Also, just having a collection of slides does not mean everything. The instructor will have a lot of comments to make when he/she displays a particular slide during a lecture which is much more important.
It would be worthwhile if they also kept videos of lectures. That is the real thing rather than the colorful slides. But I doubt they will...
Its very good that the course material and other assigmnments are shared across the internet community. Definately a great use to people round the globe.
