I would like to know more details about the following:
1. Risk involve in investing and average time to reap great. 2. List of top mutual fund and your suggestions 3. What is the highest percentage a mutaual fund offered.
i would like to invest 50,000 rs in following funds , is this the right time to invest in ? 1) Magnum contra [50% =25000] 2) Magnum emerging business [30% = approx 15000] 3) alliance basic industries [ 20% = approx 10000 ]
pls advise , since this is the first investment i am going to do in MFs
The information about the downside of mutual funds missed a point. What happens when a few fund managers in reputed companies (like merryl lynch) collude with top management of huge sinking companies (like enron) and dupe unsuspecting investors (to the tune of hunderds of billions) and get away without a scratch. If this can happen in USA (where one cannot get away with minor offenses on the road) guess what can happen in India (where implementation of IPC is next to impossible). With role models like UTI here (crores of rupees evaporated and the Govt. just saw the spectacle unfold) beware as monetary security with a mutual fund could be nothing better than a fly by night chit fund company/co-op bank.
