Mr. Bipin needs to relook at his definition of 'brands'! As is common knowledge, Louis Vuitton and Hugo Boss are names of designers, but they are also monikers of the designer brands founded by these individuals. After all, most luxury brands tend to have eponymous names: Versace (after Gianni Versace), Chanel (after Coco Chanel), CK (after Calvin Klein) etc. That fact does not obviate from their existence as separate 'brand' entities!

Looks like someone thinks like a lay man. With all due respect in the "Industry" no one would quote "Hugo Boss" as a brand and the same with all the rest. When I refer to the word "Designers", I imply that its an entity in its own entirety and does not fall under the genre of a brand.
