Congr has taught the nation nepotism and corruption
by Ram Sharma on May 31, 2009 03:38 PM

After 1942, opportunists joined Congr party and it has taught the nation nepotism (Bhia Bhatija wad) and corruption. Indira converted the party into a dynastic one and corruption also spread very fast after her becoming PM.

See the result. Now most of the parties, barrying BJP, Left & JD(U), r dynastic in nature. More than 300 MPs r crorepatis and 150 MPs r facing criminal charges.

What will this bunch of MPs do for common man?
by Ram Sharma on May 31, 2009 03:32 PM

MPs facing criminal charge has increased to 150 from 128 in 2004. MPs facing serious criminal charges like murder, attempt to murder, robbery, dacoity, kidnapping, forgery and cheating etc hv increased to 72 from 55. 100% of JVM, VCK, AIMIM MPs hv criminal charges. RJD has 75%, SP 37%, BJP 36%, BSP 29%, Cong 20% MPs with criminal charges.

No of crorepatis has increased from 154 to 300.

What can u expect from such criminal and rich MPs?

In democracy we deserve the rulers we elect.

ill gotten wealth
by ravindra kp on May 31, 2009 12:07 PM

Indian politicians have made their ill gotten wealth by hoodwinking the people of India. Politics has become a very big business for these scoundrels. Most of these politicians are promoting their kith & kin to further their interests. The income tax department has thousands of cases going on against various tax payers but it is not surprising to know that politicians are never on their radar screen. What kind of democracy are we?? The lawmakers of this country are hand in glove with every govt agency. A billion plus India is not able to kick them out in elections and bring some sort of probity in public life. As long as we Indians are not sensitized to the fraud let loose by these thugs we will be ruled by these third class self serving politicians. It is ironical that black money stashed in Banks around the world becomes an issue only during elections. Unless we Indians get out of our slumber and make them accountable for each and every penny they have amassed, politicians will treat politics as a business.

They might have even stashed away a lot of unaccounted booty abroad. For sure no normal patriotic citizen can raise this kind of issue in the parliament as he will be stifled , done away with or even vetoed by the brute majority as has been the practice all these past years.
Let us hope that at least the new younger ministers who have seen for themselves ample injustice done to the citizens of the nation would realise the gross injustice done to the poor villager who is on the verge of committing suicide due to the rampant corruption at every level of the Govt in the name of Garibi Hatao coined four decades ago by the GOP.

Weed by name congress
by S VK on May 31, 2009 10:51 AM  | Hide replies

There is a weed by name parthenium, which is also called by some as congress plant. Perhaps the behaviour of congress party and its people matches this plant. This weed is highly allergic and poisonous, and so is the congress party and its people. Just wondering why people voted for congress, or did congress win through fraudulent methods by tampering the electronic voting machine. It was in news that the Congress/DMK combo in Tamilnadu had tampered the electronic voting machine in such a way that, whatever button you may press, the LED corresponding to the DMK/Congress party symbol would glow. Shall we consider this democracy and values at its best.
