Those who hv voted will definitely click on yes
by omkar kale on May 29, 2009 01:17 PM  | Hide replies

But those who all hvn't voted may not give true info. here. Either they will not participate in this post survey or may click on "Yes" or "I can't, I live outside India". I hv seen this general attitude of people who speak themself lie. Very less people will click on "no" honestly who realy don't have voted in elections.
I have seen most middle class & upper middle class people have not voted in 2009 elections inspte of blast.

"Hope they hv prepared themself & ther children for more blasts".

In my humble opinion, there is no shame for not voting. Given the alternatives by the various political parties, abstention from voting may be very very common. ABSTAINING is also equivalent to saying NONE OF THE ABOVE. There will an enormous increase in voter turnout if the Constitution is amended to GIVE A RIGHT TO RECALL THE MP. Otherwise, we shall have MPs like Givinda, Dharminder, Hema Malini, Jaya Prada, Jaya Bhaduri and scores and scores of other MPs who neither attend the sessions nor contribute anything for PUBLIC GOOD!!!! Not voting is in fact sendinga message to these politicians who do precious little for the PUBLIC.

Rajest,

1 thing is very clear that no political party is realy 100% interested in "aam aadmi's" problem or not in developement of India. they r only interested in staying power.
they do work efficiently only for those who elect them in bunch. e.g. c congress they no minoritied vote for them so they continue there appeasement.
If V don't vote nobody will care for us.
I'm not saying that V shd vote for particular party or promoting a polotocal party I just want to say that voting is neccessory not just to elest to whom V want to c in power but its' neccessory to show them that u did not work properly when u were in power. to vote is a only power "aam aadmi" has to show it.

The AAM AADMi having power thru vote is a MYTH perpetrated by the Election Commission and the politicians. Even if you vote there is nobody to care for you!!!! ONly empty and hollow promises NOT TO BE KEPT!!!! The last sixty years are evidence of this. Fifty percent do not have basic amenities!!!We are fooled by these jokers all the time!!!!!

Last 55 yrs out of 60 Congress is ruling us & "chalta hai" attitude has developed in them, they think Indians will elect us only no-matter hw V rule here. V shd show them by our voting power that if u don't work properly u r not gonna elected thats why V shd vote.

Do u know how & why congress win elections & BJP can't?

BJP can't come in power coz if u calculate it overall - 20% r minorities & 25% r reservation catagory people here in India out of 100%, atleast 90% minorities & reservation catagory use right of voting for sure & give vote to Congress only, it means 40% votes congress has secured already. Avg. Voting happens 60% max. I don't feel BJP has chance to make govt. in parliament, untill voting happens above 80%. For most of the public half day salary & TV entertainment is more important than voting, so that above 80% voting is impossible. If some1 isn't voting means he is voting for congress.

Only MMS, Pranab Mukharjee & Shivaraj Patil r the person who deserves to become PM coz they listen each & everything said & unsaid by SG.

We should make awareness towards voting if don't want to see "KaT-putali" PM next time atleast. Lets start it from friends, relatives & neighbours.

We just hv to create awareness of voting then congress will collapse automaticaly.

From PP's message above it is clear that the following assumptions have been made:

1. The party that manipulates EVM's will not bother to get absolute majority

2. No such manipulation would have been said to take place (by PP) if the other party had won

evms cannot be manipulated in all the places. Only in places where dynasty party had state government and they could put pressure on the administration to help them. also, they had worked out their arithmetic well, all they needed to do was rig in AP/Raj. and those 60 odd seats would have been enough the tilt the balance

Election in India
by Surendra Borkar on May 27, 2009 10:14 PM  | Hide replies

Sincw 1951 Indians are voting to political parties, but not electing them by giving more than 50% voting of repestive constituency, then whether the canidate is not getting more than 50% voting, how he is elected. The majority of people are out of election voting, that is why the Congres never received more than 45% voting since 1951, but ruling the Country, even they do not have majority in the Lok Sabha. This is nothing but a fraud on the Constitution. No where in The Representation of People Act,1950, and in Indian Constitution stated that a candidate getting less than 50% voting shall be declared elected candidate. There is urgent need to ammend the act and constitution.

Brother we need educated voters to vote positively

so instead of beating the bushes we should educate voters and till such time suspend their voting

it is much better then compulsory voting

think and respond
