BJP lost because they failed to conduct an effective campaign- they not only refused to refute the myth of the Cong effectiveness as being better at govt, or point out the total failure and bankruptcy of Cong policies, but even worse- they refused to highlight all the good things they did for the country- in just one short term to boot. For their stupidity and ineptitude they deserved to lose.
BJP should not mix religion with politics. They should delink and insulate themselves against hindutva oriented groups and organizations like RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal and other rag tag groups. The party should carefully analyse as to what went wrongin their election debacle of 2009 and earlier in 2004. The party should project uniformity of purpose in whatever they do instead of the stalwarts like Rajnath Singh, Arun jaitley, Venkaiah Naidu and Narendra Modi working at cross purposes which ruined their poll strategy. Another factor was the Varun factor which restryed the party'e image among the muslims. Though he won the party lost. The need of the hour is unity in the party which is sadly lacking at present. The party should think and act as one voice. The BJP should meticulously plan their electoral strategy for the next decade. They should concentrate on the following aspects: 1) The party should recruit young (preferably in the age group of 30 to 45 years), highly qualified, technosavvy, media presentable, free of any criminal record and highly motivated persons who will dedicate themselves to the party's cause. The party should strengthen at the grass roots level in the coastal states like Maharashtra, Orissa, West Bengal, AP, Tamil nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and in the entire North -east and also in the states where thy lost badly like UP, MP, Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana. 2) The party should have their own TV channel like the media savvy DMK. Will you know the defination of the word LEADER ? let me define.leader means who leads.In our india there are two type of leader.1-who stands on front of a mass and make some necessary arrangement for day to day life. 2-who show a vision and guide mass for a better future.And BJP is second one.(I request kindly to every body to calculate matters sensitively.

Hindutave is a difficult philosophy to understand. It can disconnect the trodden in the Hindus. Rajnath Singh, Lack of Financial Experts in BJP who can steer the country from the global recession, attack on the rvered MMS are some of the pifals that had disconnected the electorate from the saffron brigade. Younger, non RSS linked leaders from BJP should assert and bring out a totally modified and energised party, even name change may do some good
In India every one sees that Hindus who ar in majority behave like timid minority and the Muslims and Christians roar like majority.Reason-see congress .It could have done without Muslim League,but it still included them giving a clear signal that congress has adaptibility to even Muslim League famous for creating Pakistan in 1947
