Not voting? You are condemning the actual voters to poverty
by Rajagopal Bhat on May 26, 2009 06:24 AM  | Hide replies

I only have one point about the so called educated lots not voting, particularly after seeing two prominent voters.

1) Amir Khan traveled 48 hours to reach Bombay to be in time for exercising his franchise
2) Ratan Tata, running "jagore" campaign for almost 2 years has failed to vote despite being in Bombay on the day of voting.

The point is, you need to be willing to vote. You don't need to be educated, you don't need to be in a minority community (incidentally both Amir Khan and Ratan Tata are minorities) to cast your vote. You just need to feel like loosing your life if you don't vote. You need to have the feeling of loosing your property or salary or your child for not voting. In one word, you must feel an internal compulsion, nothing else can force you in India.

The primary responsibility of the defense mister is to ensure the the military is well prepared - both morally and strategically - in case of a war. Since there has not been any war since Kargil we cannot really say whether Mr. Anthony was good or not in this aspect.

However he made all the arms deals transparent. He probably is the only defense mister who did not have to face any corruption accusation in the recent history.

HOW THE PRESENT GOVT WON THE ELECTIONS????? only 53%of people voted and the present govt doesnt want to make voting compulsary because they dont want the intellect people to vote, they dont have proper voting facilities for NRI's . Verdict...of what ..dividing people on caste and religion basis? Verdict which was gained by appeasing certain section of community at the cost of COUNTRY"S security and development? many countries like Spain who got Independence long after India are now developed ctry,so is japan after being destroyed in world war 2..Where is india? If they call themselves a real secular party then..TAKE OFF ALL PAPERS than MENTION RELIGION IN IT.Let there be equal laws to all the citizens of India Let elections be fought on Economic development rather than on religion basis... Why does this present govt NOT WANT ANY OF these? INFACT how have they really helped the MINORITY in development ,even after 55 years of their RULE the people of minority are still in the same down trodden standard of living What have they DONE TO MUS_LIM community NOTHING!!! but just scared them reminding them of NATIONALISTIC PARTY by branding them as COMMUNAL..and the ILLITERATE and ignorant minority community took the BAIT..and seee the conditions they are living in....they dont realize that..Neither do few EDUCATED MEN who are brainwashed by their RELIGIONS! Infact BJP was trying to build up Infracture like HIGHWAYS throughout India and joining all rivers See GUJRATH how it has imp

I am looking at the Home Ministers shining furniture and that LCD TV and I am hoping that his work will match his taste of furniture. SM Krishan as MEA tells me right there that if Sachar Comm Report has to be implemented, Congress should start charity at home. By not giving Khurshid MEA they have shown that while the likes of Varun show their mistrust openly the Congress does it discreetly

Ridiculous to see DMK asking more ministerial berths for their MPs and MMS is succcumbing to their demands. These power hungry politicians should be thrown out of the candidate.

It is a fact that MMS is voiceless in the sellection of his team. This is handed over to him by his madam. He is best explained as the weakest PM and the nightwatchman who is a stop gap arrangement for launching the prince to the throne

With present lot of politicians, Pranab,Anthony,PC,SM.Krishna are all four are great choices. They deserve it. The people who are following polictics from late 1970's onwards, they will agree with me. Mamtha is OK. The only negative is Sharath Pawar. Though he is good administrator, he has lot of other interests. Great People talk less and deliver more. MMS belongs to that category. We have to give due credit to Sonia to sticking with MMS. IF she really wants some chamchas, she could have better than MMS from congress party.

How solve the problem of vote bank politics
by ASHOK SINGH on May 26, 2009 01:24 AM

Around 10 years ago Ex RSS chief Sudarhsan Ji suggested that India should follow democratic model of France in which all communities will have their representation automatically in the house..... and there will no dirty vote bank politics....

If we want to solve the problems of muslims then only muslim leadership can resolve their problem not Fake secular netas like Lalu, Mulayam, Sonia or Paswan......
but nobody gave attention to this suggestion....
and all secular parties are fooling Muslims continuously......
and making our country a banana republic....
and making environment that RSS is against muslims....
so it is now muslims to decide who is thier friend.....
