In the present circumstances, UPA getting close to majority is the best possible result for India. However, the Congress has a history of getting arrogant whenever they are in a comfortable position in the parliament. In the event that history repeats itself, it is important that we have a strong and responsible opposition party at the national level. It is important that BJP rebuilds itself in order to deter Congress from taking things for granted. BJP must first shed its dead wood and undergo internal reforms.
The Congress lost half of Kashmir to Pakistan, made the country suffer a humiliating defeat at the hands of China, preserved poverty for 60 years, yet the electorate kept on voting them for few handouts like (supposedly) free rotten rice at rations shops, free liquor, meaningless sops to muslims like allowing them to marry four times, letting their women suffer instant divorces (sops which have not improved their lot one bit). In modern times, it has become completely helpless in protecting the people against terrorists attacks, kept all armed forces for their personal protection, swelled up their personal savings in swiss banks, allowed china one more base in Sri Lanka, quakes every time China roars, bartered away India's nuclear freedom. So of course they were elected again with a thumping majority. On the other hand, Chandrababu Naidu tried to give a clean corruption free government with no free sops, Narasimha Rao rescued the country from financial crises and liberaed the economy, apart from boldly having closer ties with Israel and EAst Asia, and of course both were kicked out ! Strange Indians.

Do not call us strange indians. We had a limited choice and the verdict of the people is here. That has to be respected.

Indians want to live in peace with their fellow indians. They would prefer to be hunry one time and be in peace. They don't want hatred among indians, they want peace for their kids to grow and develop.
They don't want to bring issues of mandir-masjid and fight among themself.

He should have been the PM of India. Sonia Gandhi and her stooge MMS have humiliated Advani. He has been shedding tears. His family is mourning the defeat.
