Congress manipulated the votes. Producing doctored EVMs is child’s play: Computer chips that control the EVMs can be easily programmed to do all kinds of improper manipulations. For example, after a certain number of people (perhaps hundreds) have voted, the rest of the votes may be channeled to a chosen candidate. This is just one among many mischievous tricks possible.
According to news reports, Amar Singh had said that he will be retiring from politics immediately after the results of the elections were announced. He is supposed to have cited ill health. Wonder why he is still around now!!!

At one time Laloo yadav declared- i am the kingmaker who will make sonia PM.
Today lalloo , Amar singh, mulayam have become the house pets of sonia.
Amar Singh must use his clout with the UPA government to get the Election Commission to give the SP , the "Toilet Paper" as its election symbol. That symbol will better represent the Party. What the Thakur Chamcha does not understand is that under Rahul Gandhi the Congress would like to take a leadership in UP . That may or may not happen but till such time as Rahul beleives it will happen he will not give either the Mulayam or Mayawati any leeway to remain relevant. Rahul will go after Mulayam's Muslim vote-bank with the same commitment that he would go after Mayawati's Dalit vote-bank . So why should the Congress even consider bringing wither of these UP leaders in the UPA?
PS : Mulayam can still win something if he kicks Amar Singh out and bring Azam Khan back !

arrey when kaangress did not have any sharam running to SP for support during trust vote, why will SP have any sharam now?
The refusal to have a pre-poll alliance helped Congress to regain its lost glory. I have no doubt that in due course the regional parties will lack any issue to fight election opposing Congress/BJP. There is no other go for the fourth front except supporting Congress. Right from beginning despite feeling the pinch of innumerable insults they thought to be insults whenever they want to blame Congress, they are siding UPA because of its secular credentials. If they do not choose to support UPA, the voters next time will teach them a lesson in my view. The third front PM aspirant, Ms.Mayawati cannot sit idle. Despite SP siding UPA she has no choice except supporting Congress if she wants to lead a peaceful remaining term of her office as CM of UP. If she talks any thing against the UPA or think of applying NSA she will be shown the correct place in my view.
