Why BJP won Mangalore
by Concerned on May 19, 2009 09:49 PM  | Hide replies

I dont think it has anything to do with Hindutva. Indian people are becoming better voters.

Yeddy' after the church attacks in Mangalore ensured that the culprits were brought to book (last I heard) - very few CM's in India have done that. Also he visited whoever the leaders were and assured them his Govt will not stand a mute spectator. I think that ensured atleast some of the Christian educated vote went for Yeddy.

Besides lot of Christians themselves are against what some idiot did with his Satya Darshini, it is unfortunate that the damage of that was not limited to the Satya darhsini idiot and spilled over to innocents.

Overall I think K'taka voted for development and are giving Yeddy' a chance. Yeddy is much better than Dharam Singh.
It also helped that INC fielded loser sycophants like Margaret Alva, her only claim to fame is her parents were freedom fighters and she was in the good book of CWC. Obviously she didnt get much of the vote.

BJP can win only at hindutva laboratories like Mangalore, Gandhinagar, Indore, Nanded(thought they lost here), etc. These are the places where they are terrorising the minorities and ruling. I hope Hindutva extremists elements will be wiped out at these places by the UPA government.

What you mean? The entire India is Hindutva my dear friend.

You never understood the meaning of it. That is all. It is not a religion but a samskara.

If BJP would have ignited the HIndu feeling it would be ruling now. They didn't do it. That's one reason Congress is rulign.

it also indicates 50% voting turnout. All minorities voted, but Hindus didn't/

Ramanath Babu
Ideology?
by Ramanath Babu on May 19, 2009 06:22 PM

What ideology he is talking about? With globalization the world has become too small, but the communists/leftists still nurture a hatred against USA and other countries where capitalism/democracy is prevalent. CPIM openly says they do not belive in democracy. They prefer bullet to ballot and that was the main reason why the communist party was divided into two in the sixties. Where does CPIM stands now?

One will accept communism only when he has nothing to lose. It can now flourish perhaps in Somalia, not in India.

Mr. Chandra Choodan
Do you really do it? You have mentioned that "We think our culture does not permit girls to go to pubs, wear jeans." In such case the Muslim League should get all the votes !!
