BJP's loss
by T lakshman on May 18, 2009 04:08 PM  | Hide replies

Its shocking that BJP had to lose from its existing score , in fact the NDA could have logged close to 220 seats had they done some more planning , one key concern is they need to control is the other sangh groups for example Ram sena in Mangalore Belt from acting like moral police or a real vanar sena. BJP should now start focussing on bigger issues with young leadership and all their existing state govts should follow functioning like Bihar & Gujrat. If you cut away from Young generation then yu dont have a future. This UPA govt is going to perform much better , since sonia madam dreams of Rahul becoming the PM while congress in full majority , so that their family can dominate for another 30 years. And thanks to 'secularism' no other political party will ever want to check it. The BJP should reform itself to suit the times and carry on with its responsibility. If manmohan singh can talk that the anti-sikh riots are old story then stigma attached with Babri will also fade away....but only if you dont keep repeating it. First Educate Hindu's how their culture has been eroding since 1947, no need to hate others like Varun , but same time yu are not communal if you speak in the interest of Hindus in India. Make the Left & other anti-hindu parties your first target - cleanse them and then take on congress..

There is a vast difference between a Sikh and a mus1im psyche. The latter will never apologige for any mistakes, however, grave it may be and will not forgive any mistake done by other community people, if it is very minor, until the 'oppressor' is finished or eliminated or humilated. BJP hoping go get the major minority community votes can never happen since they are defending the majority 'kafir' community.

Modi breaks silence
by ramakrishna seetharaman on May 18, 2009 04:06 PM  | Hide replies

The main reason for the BJP's defeatr (and for the Congress a Cake onm a Platter)was the inclusion of Ram Temple construction in its msanifesto. Modi should have stopped that

I've read BJP's manifesto... They talk about building Ram Temple, Saving Ram Sethu, Cleaning Ganges... Nowhere is it mentioned that we would also look after Muslims & Christians employment, education issues of health & safety.... If you call yourself secular, you need to talk good about all religion and ot just blow h1ndutva ka baaja.

BJP has nothing to loose.
They are ruling in 7 states and have risen from 2 seats to 160.
They will be required to push young blood along with elders like Congress did.See young Congress--Rahul,Jyotiraditya,Milind,Huda,Naveen etc.

You please come to Tamil Nadu. You know how we are suffering from powercut especially in the Coimbatore/Tirupur Region. See the Law and Order problem in Tamil Nadu.
One kilo rice is costing Rs.38/- But our Chief Minister is claiming that we are getting rice at one rupee per kg.

BJP Poll Debacle
by ramanarayanan sambamurthy on May 18, 2009 03:56 PM  | Hide replies

Mr Narendra Modi - Defeat is not final, but only when anybody refuses to get up from the defeat that is final. Refine the RSS & Leave Ram and the Mandir. Concentrate on Ram Rajya You will be a better Prime Minister than Manmohan Singh as, if Gujarat is the show case of your efficiency, India will be your godown of efficiency to steer her to a better future. Look forward to seeing you as PM in May 2014.

Why BJP failed
by Pankaj Ramani on May 18, 2009 03:55 PM

1)Got carried away by middle class who r good sympethisers but non voters
2)Congress has less simpethisers but chunck of voters
3)Never told poor ppl (who vote) that there will be jobs and cheap food ...insted talked about white coller words inflation ,infra dev , less poverty which are used by professors in Economic class ...Rahul on other hand delived much better without speaking but having chai and chapati at poors hut , mixing with them and promissing them jobs ...THAT is what the voters need.

Now they should learn and develop plan for POOR and not filthy sympothisers middle class ..boot them at the earliest
Work for poor , go their roots and be their simpothisers ..tax the middle class heavily they dont matter anyway
