Debacle in the polls
by Kumar V on May 18, 2009 04:44 PM  | Hide replies

It was Karat's arrogance and ignorance of ground realities as well as the obsolete ideologies and pro-China policies that hit the Commies hard. Karat will certainly resign after his party loses the remaining seats in the next general elections. Of course by that time, the two last bastions WB and Kerala would have been lost.

Mr. Kumar CPIM is not like Congress where there is no words beyond Mrs, Gandhi. In CPIM Karat alone cannot decide anything but the decision is taken by the Politiburo jointly. There may be difference of opinion but the opinion of the majority will prevail. So simply blaiming Karat or Budhadev does not make any sense. Whatever foolishness they have doen (CPIM) words of one person have no value in that particular political party. Pl try to understand, it is not congress, JRD, SP, DMK, NCP (where sibilings take over from parents - a family business)

Whom ever oppose Karat will be considered as anti party activitists and be thrown away. Though the party says Karat alone annot decide anything, but actually it is. There are always difference of opionion, and one cannot speak to his heart, if so, he would be thrown away. Best example is Mr.Chatterji

Sacking of Mr. Chatterjee was not the decision of Mr. Karat, but the decision of the Politiburo

Sacking of Mr.Chatterji was the decision of Mr.Karat , and what ever Mr.Karat takes decision, it is the Polit buro decision, thats the point to be noted

Mamta is too good: I salute her
by amit jain on May 18, 2009 04:32 PM  | Hide replies

Mamta is a self made lady, no legacy of Kanshi Ram, no widow of Rajiv Gandhi, no closeness to MGR. She is the star of India, fighting the Left goondas with so much courage and conviction.

How a young lady coming from a lower middle class family is fighting for the last 15 years against left goondas is truly remarkable. I hope someday they make a good movie on her strength and courage.

Thank god, good sense has prevailed on the leaders of CPM. If they had stripped the powers of Prakash Karat, we would have deprieved of teh great teaching of communisum by him. Being barking dog with no teeth to bite, Karat will keep on barking hence forth, let us hope it will be more entertaing to keep us all in good humour in this days of depression

Hypocrites
by New York on May 18, 2009 04:29 PM

* Communist leaders in India are real hypocrites.
* They advocate anti-capitalism to Indians.
Almost all Communist leaders in India have sent their sons and daughters to America as immigrants in the pretext of higher studies.

Brinda's US trips
by jfu on May 18, 2009 04:25 PM  | Hide replies

Well, how many among the LEFT party workers know about Brinda Karat's US trips? For a person who chants anti-US slogans even in sleep, isn't it ironic his wife & Politburo member, does the rounds for frequent vacation in the US?
Why not spend some time in Cuba? or Venezuela? or North Korea?

Left in Bengal
by debasish on May 18, 2009 04:23 PM  | Hide replies

Left have lost touch with the mass long time back (at least in WB),all they have done in Bengal (apart from land reforms in the first few years)is killing opposition party supporters (about 30000), closing industry (about 50000 small, medium and large scale), abolishing English (for 15 years after which they have realized the mistake and reintroduced English) and making a mockery of democracy where the district heads of CPM were given more power that DM (District Magistrate). And overall the left ideology is to support China in all respect, CPIM should be renamed as " Chinese Party of India-Marxist"

Numbers do not matter. What is important is the Commies did everything that was anti-people, anti-national. That is why Bengal is in ruins. Wake up and throw the commies out of Bengal.
