Finance should be given to Azhagiri
by lakshmikumaran kothandaram on May 19, 2009 10:14 AM

See he has paid nearly Rs.5000 / vote and he was able to manage such a big money. On top of this, see Kalaingar fmly they have huge amount money / assets which can alone clear of the debts we have with world bank. When they are able to manage this samrajan, why can't he manage this finance portfolio. I think we shld give this to him. Only one thing will happen, after 5 yrs, India will be bankcrupt and KK fmly will buy India.

Why should the rich be not given a chance to the Parliament? It is the right of everyone (those meet the eligibility criteria) to contest elections. I believe, it is unfair to keep somebody out of parliament just because that person is rich.

Do you think poor will be able to stand before the likes of the business magnets who controls the money flow of the various parties?

Until the entire democracy system is changed by wishful thinkers (professionals from economy, politics, religious heads) , its very difficult to change. Will the new India rise up to call for an "Social Agenda for Democracy" ?

That's a valid point. Why don't we, like minded people, create that change? A political movement, if not a party, which can at the right moment get into to mainstream politics? Why should the educated shy away from politics? That is why political parties are using 'non-issues' and nonsense to campaign. Power, water, a good agricultural set-up, proper shelter, employment is what we want. Politicians are using foreign issues, one of which is a humanitarian crisis to mask their inefficiencies. A new breed of politics, development politics, as opposed to blame politics, dynasty politics and hate politics must emerge.

Do any thing but keep Lalu out!
by Pradeep Phadke on May 19, 2009 09:50 AM

The current global situation and the happenings in the neighbourhood demand that we have a stable Govt that does not have to go soft on certan things due to pressure from fair weather allies like Lalu,Mulayam,Paswan and even Pawar.NDA and BJP in particular should rise to the occassion and declare that they will allow Manmohansingh Govt to run it's full term without undue pressure. That they will refrain fron grouping with unholy left parties and small parties like BSP,SP,JDS,etc during the term of this Lok sabha.Let this Lok Sabha witnes concrete discussions between Govt and Principal Opposition for the good of India.Lalu & Co should be shown the door.

IT IS A REAL VICTORY WAS FOR biased INDIAN MEDIA.
by saraswathi on May 19, 2009 09:48 AM  | Hide replies

Every media is owned by overseas Christian organisations. It was difficult to believe but the Election coverage by TV Media is prooving the point.
BUT NOW IT IS PROVED BEYOND DOUBT.
(1)No TV Media aired the News on the suicide of Senior Vadhera. If any such death had
happened in the family of a BJP person, the Media would have gone agog with the
news.
(2)Teestha Setalwad was exposed of creating most of the Gujarat Riot Stories and in
fact taken the Supreme court almost for a ride.Imagine a similar offence by the
opposite side. There would have been discussions, hen fights, opinion polls and
SMS surveys.

The MEDIA OF THIS DECADE WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR AGES TO COME. IT IS A BLOT ON JOURNALISM.

Is there any Indian who will lodge a criminal case on Testha Setalwad for her crimes against the communal harmony of this country?

Thousand people no longer alive. Is that a story created by Teesta Setalvad... or does Modi have something to do with it?
