Lalu should be handled with care. He is still a necessary evil as far as Bihar politics is concerned.Railways should be set free from his clutches.

Because he is a bold OBC leader you are characterising him as you wish. He should be given importance in the cabinet because he stood with Congress when the party was in dire need of support to save the Government. Sonia has the gratitude and hence has called Lalu personally to attend the cabinet meeting.

Lalu changing the plate.
Before poll, he thought he can bargain more if he joins with SP. But now the situation is differerent. He can not bargain...
Now he is giving statement like "it was mistake ..." for attracting congress.
Anyway it is good that congress got more seats which reduces the bargaining power of kichdi parties.

Now lalu does not have much say since it has only 4 seats. Lalu has to accept whatever piece of cake congress throws at him.
But I do appreciate the work done by him as railway minister.

plea to Congress/Secular party Pls do not divide nation further
by Balaraman on May 17, 2009 12:02 PM  | Hide replies

Latest in the series of controversies centred on the Congress party’s fixation with Muslim grievances is the data collection exercise involving the Indian Armed Forces.
It is irrelevant and mischievous to mention about caste-based divisions in the Army during the British rule.
Congress leaders not only divided the country politically but also militarily. The military officers and men of pre-independence India , belonging to all communities fought the WWII together under the British.

Pakistan got a ready-made army at its birth. When Indian Muslims got Pakistan they also got a Muslim army carved out of the undivided Indian Army. This army produced Pakistani generals and officers who fought wars with India — the first full scale war being in 1965. This is history in living memory.

The Congress party having divided and ruled the country for decades is continuing with its dangerous game and monstrous thinking of doing a head count for the Army now.

You Ramans continue to play such divisive games by bringing muslim-non-muslim matters. You waned to divide and rule which has not worked in your favour. But the vast majority of the people of this country have faith in Congress and voted accordingly. So stop such foul games and let the people of this country live in peaaced and work towards development.

LALU SHOULD BE KEPT AT BAY
by Valmiki Singh on May 17, 2009 12:00 PM

Laloo should be kept at bay, since these opportunistic elements have ruined the political atmospheres in this country.Further, the words of Hon'ble Pranab Daa too should be taken into considerations ,when Pranav Daa had categoricall told in election meetings that inclusion of Laloo Yadav is itself uncertain.
If at this junture Laloo is inducted into cabinet, congress should be insulting its own senior leader of the status of like Pranav Daa.
It will be better to give more weightage to Mamtaa Banerjee in the present situation as congress will have to face assembly election in West Bengal next year.It is important to strengthen her hands well in advance to eliminate Leftist in W.Bengal. moreover the country has not forgotten the negative roles played by these left elements during deals with US.They are simply parasites to the common Indian citizens .They have no policy at all. On one hand they create obstruction in the progress of the nation by way of liberalization and on the other hands they are hidden agents of China.Needless to say that this Lalloooo Yadav is also a strong supporter of these parasitic elements like Left(leeches).
