Every political Party should be very serious on this issue as they are the real cause of sufferings in society and curruption which is going to be real issue in next election. We need clean MP's as role model for society and having such garbage in Parliament is really shame for Indian people who are responsible for sending them.
It is the polical party who is responsible before public as they have to choose the best available candidate. So Congress and BJP should consider from now onwards to clean this mesh as they are the cause who has given them tickets. Society can be improved if parties co-operate in future.IT will be used extensively during next election like it is used by Mr Shashi Taroor this time and even his Party was not knowing, how best he used for the real cause. Every party should clear there candidates. Shashi is a real good asset for INC if used effectively for foreign affairs. We need more people like him and even younger generation which can be trained by old politicians and they must retire in future (above 65 not needed except 3-4%) as advisers and not ministers. They can stay MP's but, not minister.

education is the only answer. Uneducated public ends up vot.ting for these go.ons either out of fear or by pay offs. It's a slow process but it will hopefully change soon. I think the educated young generation made the difference in cong.ress winning.

These numbers must be based on FIRs filed. But more often than not, administration must not be filing any charges against these politicians. One can safely say that the numbers arrived at by 'National Election Watch' would be a fraction of actual no. of criminals that our parliament is hosting. Jai Ho.
Unlike western world, we hardly hear of any celebrity, politicians, filmstar getting booked for any offence. Are we to believe that all of them live a very clean life ?
That criminal elements are increasing in politics. This article makes it clear that we have elected criminals this time. The fact that this government nearly got a majority means that people too accept criminals as their representatives. This means there has been a general decline in social values and increase in the number of people who want criminals to dominate.
17.2 per cent rise in criminal turned MPs in the emerging youthful India, yes,crime is a necessary and or another qualification to enter assembly /parliament .
