Election result
by Bhagwan Das on May 17, 2009 10:12 AM

The verdict of the people is a clear indication that majority of the people have chucked out the cast/religion platform for better, stronger governance. It is indeed gratifying to note that the parochial mind set of religion/cast/creed based politics do not have much scope in India where the youth of the nation is aspiring for an advanced civilised society. I hope the new government will leave the cast/creed/religion etc and work for prosperity of the people and the nation. Jai Hind

Great guy Rahul
by asli bharatwasi on May 17, 2009 09:58 AM

Rahul Gandhi is like a breath of fresh air in the dirt and slum of Indian politics. For the first time, I am hearing a leader who didnt use the words "secular" and "communal" in his speech today after the win. For the first time, we are hearing a leader who didnt abuse his opponents but rather expressed his respect for Advani. Hope he takes India forward!
In addition, he is the most good looking politician of the nation and we will be proud to have a PM like him rather than ppl like Deve Gowda, Gujral,Mayawati,Pawar etc.

Sau crore is the problem
by Sudarshan S on May 17, 2009 08:35 AM  | Hide replies

Problem in India is the sau crore. Jub thuk we are sau crore, all these arguments will happen. HOw many roads, how many flyovers, how many buildings can you build if we keep growing like this. There is no solution until and unless each couple has only one child so that 2 will die and leave 1 and hence population can be halved in the next 40-50 years. Until then we will all be arguing and fighting for space, crowd, education seats etctetc
We blame about the traffic systems in india on road. Its disorganized, chaotic, no lane system. Tell me how will it work with 100 crore.
Say for eg, in western countries in uncontrolled junctions, if there is a stop sign you have to stop. Check if there are any vehicles coming from left and right and when it is clear, then you go. You dont just enter into a junction just because you reached there first like in india. This causes the person driving on a straight road to slow down and always be alert. However in India lets say if you do stop at a stop sign, the vehicles coming from left and right will never end because of 100 crore. SO you will always be stopped in the stop sign. Just one eg. Correct me if i am wrong. Same rule for giving way on a round about

Best Thing to Happen
by ramanand ruikar on May 17, 2009 06:31 AM  | Hide replies

I am not a real Congress supporter, but recently they haven't done any bad, well they are bit reluctant in taking aggressive action against pakistan & terrorism, but overall was good, specifically with a Good Manmohan singh & Chidambaram.
And now getting majority with least coalition, this is the best thing to happen to india at this juncture when economy is bad.
This really shows we indians are getting more matured and using election in far better way to say wht we need.
