I won't say the exact words but I would say that people may like public holidays but they don't like their businesses to suffer because of bandhs by the govt in power..

UNEXPECTED??
by Gabi Thomas on May 17, 2009 01:16 PM

Why do people make a clown of themselves?? That too so loudly!! he he he. People love his government that why the Congress won.??!! The very fact that they term this failure as "UNEXPECTED" shows that they had taken the people for granted!!!! He he he.

Its high time these guys wake up and smell their coffee!!

What has he done in his tenure? All that he has done is implement and run projects that he opposed when he was the opposition leader. Looks like he is a fast food fan..he he he. All of them have double standards.....they support China and their policies. The fact behind they opposing development and progress is "They don't like India becoming a competitor to China"!!!

Why Communists lost elections?
by New York on May 17, 2009 10:07 AM  | Hide replies

* Socialism = Preventing Race to the Bottom
* Capitalism = Promoting Race to the Top

We need both (either implicitly or indirectly) to build and sustain a great nation.
And Communists have NO clue about Capitalism.

on the contrary, the communists tried their hand at capitalism the first time, and found they cannot handle it..
And they lost easily enough..

The reasons for LDF defeat in Kerala:
1) Coccus within the party ( V S - VIJAYAN ).
2) The adamant attutude of Pinarayi Vijayan
3) CPM - CPI hiccups
4) Inclusion of PDP ( Abdul Nasser Ma Adani )
5) Cheating attitude of Mr. Vijayan towards Janata Dal
6) LAVLIN ( All of us know who is corrupt... he he he )
7) Mr. Vijayans attitude towards christian communities
...............................

what more u need? Expect more in the coming days!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK LDF... GOOD LUCK Mr. VIJAYAN.....

Secular ...communist and marxist
by mahesh nair on May 17, 2009 07:51 AM

Is it necessary to give out a statement for something which is clear to everyone. Common men this time also voted for CPM, but its the CPM workers who voted congress and TC, not for the congress, we wanted our beloved leaders and so called young bloods to lose. who are sponsored by tained business men and some super stars.
Party look for candidate caste, color even subcaste. Never forgot to get blessings from hindu, christian and muslim radicals (likes of bishops, abdul nasar). NDF men within party, Anti worker and capitalists are the patrons of the party. Party MPs behave as if they are PALASTINE MPS rather than kerala MPs when they go to parliament. CORRUPTION, APPEASING, INNER PARTY RIVELRY, MASTERS OF COMPROMISE and you expect us to come and vote for you.

Secular CPM
by Prabhakaran Pillai on May 17, 2009 07:10 AM  | Hide replies

What you mean by secular?
Aligning with all communals are the secularism?
Why the CPM condemn the majority communities sentiment and to get satisfied, align with all other parties expect the BJP?
CPM should be very very satisfied for the present position of Congress and in the next election this party will definately get vanished.
CPM should put a portrait of Sonia Gandhi in their offices and start worshiping it to prove their Secularism.
Respected comrades, it is high time to realise your mistakes.
In Kerala, especially a big lobby stating Official group is the main culprits for their own vanish since they do not like the sincere Veterans like VS.
A very great joke is invented inj Kerala---
by the learned politician --- Veliyam --- the defeat is not against the communists, but against the Communal BJP. Instead of this comment, why cant you windup and join INC to save this country from the Communal parties.
These are all the survival part played by the leaders. Better lear to appreaciate the good and correct the bads instead of all the these dramas.
All partis are good, excepting their selfish leaders.
It is time to wind uop all the parties by legislation and put a two party system to avoid spoilsports of our countries economy, morality and valuable time to get economical growth and valuable ruling to the country.
Jai Hind.

PP
The so called communal forces is behind the defeat of cpm in kerala, where the christains, muslims, nss, sndp, pms, etc; are against the cpm and these communal forces are asked their respective community to vote against cpm. Eventhough cpm got more votes compared to 2004 election. But the 6% votes, which the rightwigh udf got this time is of bjp's votes. The bjp got this time 6% less votes compared to last 2004 election. So the popularity is not gone down for ldf. But pp should be kept in mind that we have seen in the tv that the congress party has given money to voters and purchased the poor people's votes. This thing I have seen by my iye.

Mr. Babu, if LDF thinks it is the communal forces such as Christians, NSS (the Nairs),SNDP (The Ezhavas),Muslims etc which defeated LDF, tell me who else is left to vote? The population consists of these aforementioned groups and it is their verdict?
