The empowerment of the weaker sections of society — scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, OBCs, minorities and women — has been an article of faith with the Indian National Congress. This will be carried forward with emphasis on education, particularly skill-based and professional education. Education at all stages — primary, secondary and university — will be free in all respects for boys and girls belonging to dalit and adivasi communities. Coaching fees for all entrance exams for at least one lakh scheduled caste/scheduled tribe students every year will be paid by the Central Government. National scholarships for boys and girls belonging to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes will be further increased. The Indian National Congress will also make a beginning to induct youth into organs of government. As a beginning, it will reserve a proportion of seats in panchayats and nagarpalikas for men and women below the age of 35 years without detriment to the existing reservations for scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, OBCs and women. An unprecedented special drive was launched by the Prime Minister and over 53,000 vacancies in government have been filled through direct recruitment or promotion of members belonging to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes. This drive will continue.

I sometimes wonder ..why are people so scared of BJP !! and by people I mean everyone ... not a single party is courageous enough to let go of the psuedo secular tag they adorn !! If someoen has read fountainhead... doesnt the behaviour resemble the hate that Howard Roark experiences throughout the story ?!? the ex-rly min (the management guru !!!) making rly as profitable (!) (by backdoor increase in fares/rates, reduction of facilities,etc.) lallus' looting rly commuters examples - levy of additional reservation charges 4 return tkt, tatkal reservation 5 days in advance, tatkal compulsorily from starting stn to destination stn, addition of 3rd seat instead of 2 seats in the sideway seats thereby denying comfort to all the 3 passengers.
for poor show of rjd & ljp in bihar is the fault made by themselves only. if they could have shown some respect to congress then this time in bihar jdu & bjp couldn't have sweep. what i think the result might have 50-50. and also the upa would have got the majority of its own and lalu prasad yadav might have played a important role in forming next govt, where now he is in the mercy of congress. people should learn from the history.

RJD - Laloo and his family has done nothing to Bihar. They only builded corruptions, Criminals, land grabbing and castestism and made money in name of poor people welfare in Bihar during his family rule.
In Railways in name of TATKAL he made the people fools now only agents can book ticket without any identifications. Who stands in the queue from 12 hours before in the queue and sells ticket in black. You can easily get ticket in Black in mumbai for Delhi double the Rate Tatkal charges. And TT made money out of it TATKAL scheme when sits goes empty. Even normal RAC is not confirmed in trains and TATKAL has Waiting list too. Just Fooling games.
Maintainence in RAILWAY is very big questions. Long distance trains go without water after 6 hours and toilet is not clean in between. Free for all passengers without tickets. list goes on.... Whether he has done really good to the common people that was big ?????

I am no fan of Congress, but I appreciate the Comgress action this time. How long can people tolerate the foolish utterings of Casteist thugs like Lallu and his despicable wife Rabri and Paswan? Rahul stated that people have rejected religion and caste in this election. But it is far from true. Congress in Andhra was riding on the back of reddy community. Or he made that statement, simply because Congress became the beneficiary of caste and religion based voting bias? On the whole, promotion of caste as a pervasive factor, that started transcending religion has been systematically initiated and nurtured by Congress. While people can choose religion, caste can not be chosen by any body. This is the position of Indian constitution. Also, when Congress depended on RJD and SP for support, caste has been overlooked by the same congress.

Please do not comment without knowing reality. In AP Reddy vote bank is negligible. It is anti Chandrababu that is worked for Congress here.
