Sensible Decision

I think its time BJP inducted younger blood, with an interanational outlook, and got rid of the old timers with their stuck up attitude. India needs fresh blood, congress has realised this and moved on. Its time a responsible national party did the same. We dont want 60 generation with their socialist/conservative thoughts to draw up an agenda for the next generation Indians. There is still an opportunity for the BJP to change, and Advani is showing them the way. The party needs to act on it.

BJP please realize that the Lord has told us not to elate during good times, nor to become despondent during bad times. Hyenas howl during night times and crows caw during day time. But the sun and moon keep doing their work diligently. Likewise BJP should stick to principles and work harder than ever for the Nation.

Advaniji should not be a victim of escapism
by Pennathur Prabhakar on May 18, 2009 08:15 AM  | Hide replies

Advaniji, your party is still not matured enough to accept certain realities. And you are not old or sick enough to call it a day. Your sagacity is important at this time of distress in your party. Unless you want BJP to go in to shambles by inner party fighting, for which only Congress is famous in this country, you must be around for a while and resonate the Parliament with your stern voice on crucial areas. We need a powerful opposition leader at this time and please, for God's sake do not try to escape.

I am with you Mr New York. How many lives were lost (both Hindus and Muslims) over silly communal issues instigated by these two so called leaders. They are no more different than Prabhakaran who killed thousands of people for becoming a president of independent Tamil state. Meanwhile, he put the Tamil interests and 25 years behind. Generations of Tamil intellect was gone by these individuals who for their ambition killed the aspirations of young people and steered them to take stupid armed struggle. Hope, Kashmiris realize this and move forward.

Glad the country punished these leaders. Now it is time for congress to show what they can do for the country (DEvelopment only) and not politics.

Kashmiris have already realized this and now slowly beginning to be part of Indian values. They know what harm their Talibani 'friends' mean. Soon, PoK will also join us. They have seen what and how much secularism means.

EVM Blues
by Skunk Werkz on May 17, 2009 11:22 PM  | Hide replies

I cannot say whether Congress rigged the EVM or not, but an EVM can be easily rigged by people in the know. Its child's play!.

How do I know? My company was involved in the initial concept design and bidding process for the design of the EVM's. Needless to say that we didn't win the bid because my company don't have processes to support the under-the-table cash requirements.

Before anyone jumps all over me: I don't speak for/believe in ANY political party of India. Heck... I didn't even vote.

advani sulking
by ramesh wasudeo on May 17, 2009 11:18 PM

lk advani was so so ambitious to become PM taht he was behaving in very indecent manner to hurl insults on manmohan singh the PM. he claimed to be a strong man ( majboot neta ) in party slogan and now he is hiding place in shame or grief. it is not becoming of a national leader to sulk over defeat. winning and loosing happens at hustings. a senior leader like him shhould take it in stride and perform role in the opposition expected of him. he can not leave the party in lurch when he can not become PM at no fault of his party. had he renounced politics before loosing mandate it was other thing, but to resign now after defeat is very very poor leadership.
