I am surprised with the messages that fundamentally don't recognize the verdict of the electoral process. It is even more shocking that these same 'patriotic indians' didn't have a problem with the electoral process when their party won.

Seems to me there is a real problem with people being sissies and not playing fair. The elections are over and the results are out. Quit whining and try harder the next time, party of your choice may win.

Bihar and Orissa..what an example
by SHWETA SINGH on May 17, 2009 08:34 PM  | Hide replies

Thumbs Up for Bihar and Orissa. These are thhe two states, we always look down as inferior, rest of the Indis considers itself elite, intellectual and image of these two states is like some "downtrodden, uneducated, uncivilzed' type of population. They voted development nad reforms, they showed the way out to 8 union ministers, they sealed lalu's era of dadagiri, they chose their leaders wisely. Humbiility of Nitish and naveen was remarkable even after the shining performance. Rest of the country can learn a few thigns from them.

@shweta

I completely agree.

Bihar and Orissa have voted with great maturity.

From all I know Nitish is doing a very good job and he made sure Modi didnt campaign in Bihar, result people voted for JDU huge.

Orissa same deal, Patnaik kept BJP/RSS at bay and BJD won big.

Also during the NDA rule Bihar got 47000 crores, in UPA's last rule they approved 96000 crores for Bihar. It is good that Nitish was able to extract that money.

those who don't know what bihar is shouldn't speak. if u remember, this state was only one with leader like JP, who single handedly turned the ruling govt at that time. the peolpe of this state didn't throw govt out on only onion price rise to push the whole country for election. what Modi has done to gujarat, Kaash any govt could done to whole country. GUJARAT is ranked no.1 state for last 8-9 years.

Its totally upto state government to utilise central government fund. Fortunately, Nitish's government is using those funds with accountabality. Thats is the main reason for increased fund allowance. Previous governments preferred not to use those fund to keep bihar undeveloped. Result is humiliating defeat for them. In absence of proper utilisatio, fund were given to other states.

Its time BJP owns a TV channel else they will be buried silently
by durga on May 17, 2009 07:31 PM  | Hide replies

REAL FACE OF biased INDIAN MEDIA.
Every media is owned by overseas Christian organisations. It was difficult to believe but the Election coverage by TV Media is prooving the point.
BUT NOW IT IS PROVED BEYOND DOUBT.
(1)No TV Media aired the News on the suicide of Senior Vadhera. If any such death had
happened in the family of a BJP person, the Media would have gone agog with the
news.
(2)Teestha Setalwad was exposed of creating most of the Gujarat Riot Stories and in
fact taken the Supreme court almost for a ride.Imagine a similar offence by the
opposite side. There would have been discussions, hen fights, opinion polls and
SMS surveys.

The MEDIA OF THIS DECADE WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR AGES TO COME. IT IS A BLOT ON JOURNALISM.

Is there any Indian who will lodge a criminal case on Testha Setalwad for her crimes against the communal harmony of this country?

Gentleman,
Peoples mandate is verdict of god. Please appreciate this verdict and honour yourself as civilised person.
You are still in the hangover of election. We must join celebrations because we the people of India has no choice except vote and celebrate of any political party who win because even if NDA comes to power they wouldnot have done anything for us. This is our last 60 years expereince whosoever come to power they suck our blood.

Result of Fare Election and Nitish Clean Bihar Oriented Rule
by Murli Devi on May 17, 2009 07:20 PM

Insiders know how they used to win elections during lalu regime.
May be people outside Bihar don't know it..but Lalu ruled 15 years by winning election even after being defeated by rigging polls and clandestinely changing the ballet boxes in the mid of transit.
He used to force the DM to declare his RJD candidates to win despite of having lost.

the day KJ Rao took the charge of election in Bihar...he ensured free fare poll. And Lalu lost to Nitish and today what you see is mainly due to it. Lalu was out long before but was winning by mass level riggings.
Not a single bahubali criminal politician could win a single seat from Bihar...what else could be the best for the Indian politics...its out n out Hatts off to Nitish Kumar and his work for which people have voted accross all caste and religion lines!

A matter to rejoice
by rajagopalan nadimuthu on May 17, 2009 06:51 PM  | Hide replies

One should rejoice that Bihar turned out to be a grave yard for many opportunistic politicians.Afte having enjoyed power for five years ,ditching cong at the eleven th hour is the most ingratitude act to the core. This will be a lesson for all fence sitters that includes Nitish also. Now he should change his mindset and stay with NDA and win next assembly election due in Dec 2010.one should learn lesson mr Karuna .From one seat in 1991 ,despite two defeats he bounced back to rule the state again.NDA should not indulge in blame game. But stay united to fight back to bring money from Swiss bank.It will give tremendous booster from the public. The BJP should move freely with muslims and make them to feel that their policy is an inclusive one .
Even this day NDA is far better than the corrupt UPA .MMS is the only honest among the several corrupt lot.Nitish should not copy Naveen and severe his connection with BJP .unlike in Orissa in Bihar it has sizeable BJP voters.RN

Just change ur mindset about Nitish Kumar...he is much cleaner person than Manmohan Singh...its easy to be voted by every religion and caste.
And whatever he demanded he demanded for bihar for which he will be loved by people of Bihar more. he literally fought for the rights of Bihar which are being snatched away everytime by centre which ditched it even during devastating kosi floods. Nitish Kumar is perhaps the only few leaders whoc could set the role model and model ruling for entire nation and its politicians..to follow in coming time!

Only fool can doubt Nitish's redebility. I am from him constituency and know whatever he promises, he delivers. He is one of the honest person in politics. Evenif he do not spare his partymen and castemen for wrongdoing. After his massive vistory, his partymen did not take revenge against anyone from other party or cast. He need to be ruling bihar rather than PM of country. Bihar needs him more than country.

He has potential for PM but bihar needs him more. Atleast I will prefer him to be as Bihar CM rather than PM. Meanwhile if some one like him emerge to take his role then he should move to delhi. But till then , Biharis want him in Patna.
