So, is it the end of an era after the comprehensive defeat of the left after 32 years? It looks like it. And, yet - it may not be so. The Trinamool has actually taken up what they claim as the true left cause abandoned by the Left Front. Indeed, in this year's election, a large number of traditional left voters have voted for the Trinamool. It is also likely that the Left Front will try and woo the traditional left voters back to their fold. So, in reality, now in West Bengal we will witness the struggle between two left groups - the old left (Trinamool, who sticks to the left ideologies of the 70s, 80s and 90s), and the new left (Left Front, who has redefined the left ideology to give it an orientation to market economy - thus angering the traditional left supporters who have now voted for the Trinamool). It is clear, therefore, that West Bengal politics will be still dominated by the left ideas.

Dear Sir, do you have any idea about the political ideas of people like Kabir Suman or Mahashweta Devi, who are avowed leftisis, and are now in Trinamool camp? Have you read the election manifesto of Trinamool to check their leftists ideas? For instance, do you know that they are against FDI in banking, insurance etc, and against foreign players in retail business, just like the left? There are many such similarities. Please read before making silly comments that betray your true cultural level!!

If TMC refrains other Indians ( non bengalees )from doing retail business then I would believe that there is some brain left within. However, we have lost a lot and Indians have ruined us a lot which are beyond compensable.

True indeed.... but dont get agrevated...internall they fear the intellectual min of bengal. Bengalees are in the forefront in ideas. what has got wrong is that we lost a good lot of brains during the naxal period in 1970. the youth generation got of the track. and more over due to that now days parents tell their son not to get in politics. every parent surely wont like to loose their child as they fear, while they dont incorporate that it is the youth who have always shaped and taken leading part in changing the world. Time and again the youth of bengal has shown this. as a matter of fact i feel what u fear of very bad times in front of bengal, it may be a boon that the change will encourage the youth again. if the change in govt goes the wrong way the rising will come. but that does not mean we wait for the rising. Beleive that a change is for good, if not we will change that.

Ami Bangalee, We have been staying in Delhi, Mp, Bihar, UP, since 3 generations. Our families have vanished slowly without any notice since independence. They could not tolerate this hostile country. You can imagine, if affluent clasess could not survive in this adverse ambiance, then what would have happened to them who came during partition time ? I know better than those selfish communists like you and Jyoti Basu, who, actually was not a real Bengalee, but an agent, Basu, origin from some other state, of so called Nehru. Its time for change and Bengalees should rise and regroup to make West Bengal once again an economically and culturally powerful state. I am in the revolt and with you Pape...
Now that CPIM are in goverment and TMC and Congress in lok sabha poll majority. The next 2 years till the assembly elections will be a complete standstill for bengal, like to dooms years for bengal. No development will be possible as each of the two parties will fight for their existence. There will huge violence, political fights. In all a civil war is predictable, a bloody war which will make its copy in history. The Left will fight for its existence and the TMC will not allow as didi loves to sit on roads and starve for a few days. May be the politacal and intellectual mind of the people of bengal which had always shown the way to the world rise again, the youth rise again as been always in history, before independence and the naxal period of 1970's really show what is best. The final or may be the real war is yet to come in 2011. Its is turmtoil time for bengal.

That's why Jesus told to everyone, forgive them who don't know who are their fathers. They are the animals, deserve to be excused. Most of the north Indians are by products of Mugals. During that period, their females were compelled to bear Mughals' poisonous seeds into their wombs. It was under the rule in Mughal dynasty. This is truth. Rest Indians, are mostly, original Indians. Even other muslims are real Indians.
It will be interesting to see when MMS starts the insurance and banking sector reforms, how will Mamta go and take the left on. I do not think Mamta has won by showing a better option rather she has won on an anti industrialization message. It is would be very interesting to see how this plays out. By the time the next assembly elections come around, the left would have exposed Congress and that is when TMC will have a problem. This is the right time for BJP to start building its Cadre in West Bengal. Tapan Sikdar should get busy as BJP can be the real opposition as TMC and Congress are just the B team of the Left.
