Non-Bengalees are writing their poison against Bengal on false Bengalee names. Bengal should make an appeal to UNO for separation from rest of the India with immediate effect or the future of the remaining Bengolees is not secured in the hands of anti Bengalee north-south Indian parties like BJP, RSS and other terroristic parties like Congress and Samajwadi Jatibadi parties. Otherwise, their fate and destiny would be similar to other prabashee Bengalees, who are already on te verge of extinct.

End of an Era?
by Haramohan Ray on May 16, 2009 05:55 PM  | Hide replies

Is it really end of an era in West Bengal? For the first time since 1977,the Left has got even less than 50% seats in the Lok Sabha Election. They have been comprehensively defeated in the majority of assembly segments also. Which suggests that they have lost the support of their traditional vote-bank.
And yet, this may not be the end for left. We know that many traditional left supporters have openly campaigned for the Trinamool, and they have also voted for the Trinamool - because they believe that the Left has deviated from the leftist course. Indeed, if we look at the Trinamool manifesto,we will find that their programme is absolutely the same as that of the Left in the pre-industry-drive age. This means that although the people of Bengal might have voted for against the left, yet they have actually voted for the old leftist ideas. The question is - which left is right? The old or the new?

Frankly speaking, it's the lack of performance, clubbed with the arrogance & the mistake of taking everyone (including the people and the opposition alike) for granted which has cause the downfall of CPM. The trend has just emerged. Next assembly election, WB will see unprecedented security arrangements courtesy Mamata which will once again pave a path for free and fair poll in the rural and troublesome areas. I see no immediate change in the fortune of LF. Even if they do something extra-ordinary it's difficult to change people's perception in next 2 years which has got created for last 32 years.
Probably a change is something which was required.

Bengalis are very parochial and communal

Prakash Karat is not a bengali which is why bongs did not vote for CPM. If CPM had a bong chief they would have voted for CPM

Bengalis are functionally the leaders of intelligentsia and such an attribute is very intrinsic to a bengali. There is nothing wrong with Bengal and it never was so. In fact, if there is one State in India where things have always been right it is because of the Left ( pun intenfded).

Stop spreading your prejudice among others. For once, start to see reality with a clear mind. Minds of most of the people like you are cluttered because you've been brainwashed for 32 yearsinto believing that everything is going great in WB. But for people like us who have ventured out of WB and seen the rest of India and compared with WB, we know how grim the situations are in WB.
Mamta definitely deserves one or two chances when we've given 7 chances to the non-performing LF.
The LF has been winning based on their cadre strength and vote machinery. Let there be a free and fare poll for the assembly and you'll be once again surprised like now. The anger and resentment among the people of WB against LF is at its extreme. The intellectuals aren't calling for the change just like that. They have gone to the rural areas and realised the voice of the people there.
There is still time, please wake up and embrace the reality.

If this is the case for WB then please WB should not exist as state. And bengali community should be vanished. Then merge some part of WB with Bihar, Some part witth Orissa, some part with assam and some part be independent.... shame on you bengali from WB....

what are we talking about? Left Front still rules West Bengal and shall continue to do so atleast till 2011 which is another 2 years! And two years is a long time for the Left to again regroup and continue with their vice like grip over West Bengal. Remember, if it was not for the Marxists, India would not have been saved by the claws of recession which the West particularly America is facing presently.

Friends please wecome results/trends whole heartedly. Dont be so cynical, don't worry so much about Mamata. Just give TMC 10 yrs to Govern WB. WB people are too much confused, worried, fearfull, cynical and critical. Be generous .... this will bring properity to WB.
