Winning of Shashi Tharoor
by sunil agarwal on May 17, 2009 01:15 AM  | Hide replies

So we should import people like Sashi Tharoor from USA and some from Pakistan and Taliban so that they win in the election and the great Congress party gets all the 543 seats in future. What is the contribution of this man and what has he done for Indians. Whole life he has spend in USA and now he will push the interest of USA sitting in Parliament. As if we have shortage of good people to lead us we import people like him to fight election. Next time we will import some from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan to fight election here and the great secular party the Congress is will form the Govt. with these people and the whole world will say that see whata great secular country India is.

Who cares about NRIs?
by Cin boy on May 17, 2009 01:01 AM  | Hide replies

I do not understand why NRIs are so upbeat about the results. These are the people who contribute least to the emergence of India. Did any of them travel to India to vote? I bet that even if they were in India for vacation they would not have casted their votes.

"We expected more than 200 seats for the NDA, which did not happen. We are not sure why it happened. We worked very hard"

The above statement of Mr. Patel just shows how detached he is from India and the realities there.

Indian-Americans' triumph too? I disagree with that, what did he do to us?

BTW, what verdict are you talking about? There is *NO* party which got the minimum majority on its own strength and merits, all drama in the name of Dance of the Democracy. In fact, voting percentage has gone down even after massive Vote campaign. It's not a clear verdict, please don't fool people!

It is a sad fact that many 'educated' Overseas Indians support BJP. These expats suffer from cultural isolation in their adopted countries and turn to identity politics to re-assert their self-worth, and the outfits that claim to be guardians of 'culture' 'religion' etc are a perfect answer to their quests. All extremist outfits, be it the Islamists, Khalistanis, or even N**zis of yore (remember the American N**zis) have had huge following abroad, and are examples. Another reason is that these expats feel they are away from the strife and violence created by their favorite outfits back home. Also adherence to the hate-ideologies enable them to externalise their hatred and be at peace. Life looks purposeful.

This is the psychology that drives the overseas Indians to sectarian f*ndemn* list outfits like RSS/ BJP etc.

-You are gravely mistaken here.
-Do you imagine that Muthalik could do it on his own? Congress pre planned it to make BJP go down.
-I travel to Karnataka more often and the feed back is that congress men with press and photgraphers roped in Sene men to do it.unfortunately the Sene men didn't see the sinister design behind it.
-Go and see the real story in Mangalore. Everybody knows it there and so BJP done comfortably there.

Good one Indian. For Pakistan if anything goes wrong India is responsible. Same for the supporters of mass murderers the Bharat Jalao Party. If verdict goes against them or if anything goes wrong it is Congress' fault. All ostriches think alike.
