Sriramkumar Lakshminarayanan
Sonia is a powerful lady
by Sriramkumar Lakshminarayanan on May 17, 2009 11:27 AM

This election is highly competetive and definitely a learning for the Indian
politics.
People have become very wise and congress has rightfully adopted the strategy
in understanding what people start thinking and what they need.Though from Italy
she has definitely mastered the nitty gritty of Indian politics and people, which
BJP leaders though from India has continuously failed. No wonder she is one of the
powerful lady on the earth.Even in the last election we saw how she rejected the
PM post and placed Manmohan singh. She definitely knew that would have been disastrous
to Congress, as BJP would have marketed "India once again in Foreign hands".
That was an awesome move. And now

1 - Look at the way Congress positioned Rahul Gandhi. She knew people will be moved
by his face value. Rajiv's son, Indira's Grandson who came from the family who
sacrificed their life to India.
2 - The way they had the alliance
3 - Continuous support from Minorities

She is the real mastermind behind Congress and really powerful.

No lesson needed
by Hot on May 17, 2009 10:43 AM

Tehre is no fulls top in politics. So many people are giving so many sermons about lessons being learnt. Indian people do not vote with any logic. Look , people are crying thorugh their nose while purchasing essential commodities. 6000 people lost their lives in bomb blasts, Mumbai people cried for 4 days during 26/11 due to ineptitude of Cong goct. Still people voted for them. So keep on doing politics. Sometimes your turn will come. People are sermoning BJP what to do as if they will vote for it next time.

Even Congress didn't expect this result.
by Ajay Pal on May 17, 2009 10:40 AM  | Hide replies

Whole media CEC and everything and every game was used to prop up Congress & UPA. All parties going down inspite of UPA Government unimpressive performance during last five years. There has to be some kind of rigging to get this kind of result without any good work by government. Why all parties including regional fall but congress and thier all allies did well. There is lot of suspicion and I hope truth will come out. To pass Nuclear deal UPA played trick but this time far bigger game with the help of official machinery.

BJP a communal party rejected by Secular people
by Water on May 17, 2009 10:25 AM

A communal party BJP with their PM candidate Advani left no stone to accuse Dr. Singh is a weak PM, a puppet of Sonia, smooth on terrorist, and many more, but the Secular people of this country not interested in Advani's music they rejected this communal minded person and they voted a right party for develoment and secular India.
Advani tried his best to communalise politics by using Varun as a hinduvata weapon, and raised again the Ram Mandir issue to grab the votes from majority.
Most of these votes to Congress came from the main stream because they donot want India to communalise for votes. From this verdict it is clear message to BJP that don't play cards like this which harm the people of this country, this is a secular country and remain as secular.
Now there are three choices to Mr.Advani :
1/ Request Sonia Gandhi to give a chance to assist Dr. Singh as a Deputy PM. Because Mr. Advani cannot wait further 5 year, even he wait until 2014 Mr. Rahul Gandhi will be powerful at that time and will ready to take the PM.
2/Go to Nepal may be work your hindu card there and try your luck.
3/Take Sanyas from Politics.
This is my good advise to Mr. Advani, I already given this advise 2 weaks ago and I am repeating my advise.

BJP lost mainly due to the old-fashioned ideas of leaders like Rajnath who only favour people who come via the RSS route .Advani is old and very lacklustre .He lost the war of words with Dr.MMS .BJP refused to change, whereas Congress was willing to change, and they got a lot of support especially from rural areas thanks to their development work there .MMS is one of the few politicians with a corruption-free record .Rahul Gandhi is a sincere young and charismatic leader who has matured well, and his decision to go alone in UP also worked well, throwing out Mayawati and ensuring a change for the better in leadership .We can also celebrate the fall of the Left . Kerala and WB needed a change after 40 years of Communist rule that has done nothing really good .

by babu on May 17, 2009 10:02 AM

VERY SAD MANY AMBITIOUS MEN/WOMEN LOST THEIR CREDIBILITY.
KARAT[ SECULAR??} SHOULD TAKE REST AND STUDY AND TRY TO WIN THE PEOPLE AS ALSO LEADERS{ secular????} OF OTHER PARTIES LIKE BJP.

CONGRESS HAS SHOWN THEIR HEART, BUT DEVIATIONS ARE POSSIBLE BEFORE THE NEXT ELECTION ,IF NOT REIGNED GENTLY, CAUTIOUSLY AND SHOW THE OTHER PART OF THE WORLD THAT THERE NO SUCH THING LIKE "RECESSION". Next Five Years Growth should be ahead of fifty years of the Europeans/western
