Nice Verdict
by kamal Haasan on May 18, 2009 06:03 AM

A gr8 verdict in first place !!!
I always believed that Advani is not capable to be PM and if he had done that then it wud invite terrorism to India from Taliban for his Pro-Hindu stand. Ofcourse, Congress maintains double-standard and calls itself a secular.

Moving to TN, it was a calculated and well-designed plan by DMK to be a populist govt. It had its governance issue but somehow managed to win more seats and credit should go to the party's planning council.

Atleast JJ from ADMK should learn now on to be consistent on her views. Once again, her flip-flop resulted in loss to the party. Unfortunately, there is none in the party to replace her and nobody could even open a word on that.

Lets atleast hope now that Dr.Singh does a good governance without Left in the support and capitalize the BJP's poorshow.

Indians have won, hindus are the sore losers!
by slumdog on May 17, 2009 04:44 PM  | Hide replies

Sonia and Manmohan's combined charm has worked. Now I would like to ask Advani who is weak? Definitely Advani's weak and he should think about retiring and playing with his grandchildren. Instead of addressing the real concerns of India which have always been poverty, employment, better living standards, farmers etc, they have focussed on hate speeches, personal attacks, communal politics, trivial and non-essential dead issues like ram janma bhoomi, rem sethu, amarnath, terrorism etc which the common man doesn't give a damn about. Rahul Gandhi has shown more wisdom, honesty and political maturity than all the trash talking BJP top leadership put together. It just shows two young leaders in sharp contrast. Rahul who has come of age, can speak on a wide range of political issues and problems. Second is Varun who can only propel himself into limelight by making controversial hate speeches. Its clear that Varun is not anywhere near the new emerging modern and capable leaders like Scindia, Pilot, Deora and Rahul and Omar. In their hands i am confident India will be in safe hands and progress faster. Varun better learn from them or perish

By the grace of god. Again we are proved to be mentally sick, and mental slave of foreigners. Now i strongly believe that this land "India" is a land of disabled we can not produce a single PM, we have to depend on ITALY to produce leaders for us.
This was really a honest verdict. And Advani(and all true indians) were proved to be weak.
People use to say that whay did BJP gave in 5 years, i would like to ask what did Congress gave in 60 years, we are far behind China and Pakistan became our competetior in this 60 years. All major infrastrucute are still of British. And All money in SWISS banks are still of Congress leaders. If they are still winning then I realy have no hope for future and we will be in even worse condition.
There is no doubt that Manmohan Singh is a good man, but who is real PM everybody knows. And Rahul gandhi where was he before 5 years. As soon he realized that now her MOM is going to be in power that havard dropout joined politics.
May god bless my mother land. As our future is in unsafe hands.

Can somebody explain how rhese demands are communal?
by harish kulkarni on May 17, 2009 04:39 PM  | Hide replies

1. Abolition of Article 360 that gives special status to J&K
- Everybody saya Jammu & Kashmir is integral part of India, if so, then why special status? Even the famed RTI (Right To Information) Act is not applicable to J&K!!! As an Indian, am i not empowered to seek infor about J&K? if it is integral part of India?

2. Uniform Civil Code
- As citizens of India, irrespective of our relegion, what is wrong in having Uniform Civil Code in the national interest? like we do in schools, colleges, & offices

3. Ban Cow Slaughter
-Yes, for a Hindu, Cow is very sacred, Cow is god. But apart from relegion, A Cow is also the backbone of our Rural Economy. 100s of thousands of family depend on a cow.Whatever a Cow throws out, is useful for Human being & Agriculture.

These are absolutely secular demands that were criticized only due to Votebank Politics.
Now, can somebody help me understand how these demands are communal, as criticized by so called secular parties?

* There is NO Hinduism **till** 85% of all registered marriages in India are inter-caste.
* Till then the truth is there are only Castes and NO Hindus in India.

the future action after verdict
by ashu goyal on May 17, 2009 03:05 PM

The verdict is clear. Everybody is clear that ideology of BJP has been rejected by the electorate. But one other noticeable feature was rejection of smaller parties and their permanent ministers. The verdict is sufficient to exclude them completely in any scheme of government. Manmohan Sir, kindly do a justice by excluding them. The verdict was more a rejection of so called 3rd front or if we can call it convenience club whose only commonness seems to grab the power in name of secularism. They will however be ready to join the even BJP led government at any time. Do you rememebr paswan, MDMK, PMK, TDP, SP. Till result day AIDMK, SP and RJD, BSP were talking of keeping a safe distance from Congress. Now they are talking of old alliances. Beware of them. Let the congress rule with the clear mandate without so called secular, regional and opportunistic leaders
