Mr. Iyer, I wonder where you have been, Out of India to see the India progressing or it developed only to the regions nearby you.

Congress:

Inflation--It is going to beat the previous record.

School Fees--Congress will eat the hell out of parents pant, mark my words, they will., Definetly, schools are now free to hunt any one they like.

electricity rate-- Meters Will run faster because even they would celebrate the win of Congress.

Share market--It was hoping BJP to form the government, even corporate worlds had acclaimed Modi as the PM but now it is going to fall not less than 1500 points in the next few trading sessions, resulting into many suicides and brokedowns.

Terrorism-- Pranab Mukherjee will again spread his freindly hand to pakistan which he will warmly use to masturbate and spit the hell once again on india and as usual Pranab will reply that next time if similar happened, we would tolerate only to an extent. And Again.

Indian voter get swayed only by money, congress had distributed notes in all the slums, bangladeshi colonies and even at night. Not every body noticed but the police and the local government did.

Above all are the consequences which are going to materialize soon. You will see them very short Great Indian Peoples.

Pray that the home next to you doesn't gets occupied by terrorist.

Not reelecting Narasimha Rao - the biggest mistake
by Ramakrishnan Iyer on May 16, 2009 11:50 AM

Not electing Narasimha Rao back to power in 1996 was the biggest mistake committed by the people of India. When I look back, it almost feels like an irrationality. The reason put forth by the pundits of that day for his defeat was 1. Corruption and 2. Destruction of the Babri Masjid. The allegations of corruption against his government were at best conjectural, and we all know who actually brought down the mosque. On the other hand, all the progress and prosperity we see in India is a direct result of the reforms he brought about. One cannot help but laugh at the opposition put up by the left and right in those days. Narasimha Rao was the closest we ever got to Chanakya. It is good that people have realized their mistake, and have supported one of the stars of Narasimha Rao's government - none other than Dr. Manmohan Singh. Some people, obviously influenced by Superman, Spiderman, King Kong, Rambo and other worthies, tried to cast him as a weak prime minister, but being the man of character that he is, he came out on top of all the inferior breeds. Here's looking forward to 5 more years of social reform, justice, equality, and more, under Dr Singh's leadership!

Plea to Congress/Secular party Pls do not divide nation further
by Balaraman on May 16, 2009 11:49 AM

On religion language north-south basis
Latest in the series of controversies centred on the Congress party’s fixation with Muslim grievances is the data collection exercise involving the Indian Armed Forces.
It is irrelevant and mischievous to mention about caste-based divisions in the Army during the British rule.
Congress leaders not only divided the country politically but also militarily. The military officers and men of pre-independence India , belonging to all communities fought the WWII together under the British.

Pakistan got a ready-made army at its birth. When Indian Muslims got Pakistan they also got a Muslim army carved out of the undivided Indian Army. This army produced Pakistani generals and officers who fought wars with India — the first full scale war being in 1965. This is history in living memory.

The Congress party having divided and ruled the country for decades is continuing with its dangerous game and monstrous thinking of doing a head count for the Army now.

Why is that only hindus always talk about secularism... Muslims and Christians have never voted for BJP - they are NOT SECULAR... But if a Hindu does not vote for Congress - he becomes Communal!! What a sick mindset hindus have...

Just because Hindus were in majority during independence, India was declared secular... Imagine otherwise!!!

Dont be hypocrites, shed this pseudo-secularism and support BJP government... Only when Hindutva prevails true secularism will be there... Or else it would always be minority appeasement...

damocratic values
by BHARAT on May 16, 2009 11:33 AM  | Hide replies

The poll result/trend show that the Indian democracy is going in the right direction as pre poll alliance of UPA is heading towards a clear cut majority amongst all the alliances. They may need support of only one or two parties and hence, will be in a better position to delever their best.
NDA constituent like Nitish Kumar and former partner BJD will be more dependable than the opportunists like SP/ RJD/ BSP/ AIADMK / Communists etc.
This will be a good governance if all these opportunists are shown the door by roping in thse two parties to either join or to support the government.
