Manmohan is not a politician!
by mallaiah anchoori on May 16, 2009 09:15 PM

As the proof pudding is eating, the ultimate result of the polls is material irrespective what are all the factors that are wishfully attributed to the success."Jo jeethegaa, wohee sikindar hai"BJP should stop talking all rubbish at least now &avoid fooling people with all high sounding phraseology like "short term lessopns" and long term lessons.
Manmohan Singh has already shown his mettle & would also continue to show as long as he is allowed to continue. And when it becomes exceedingly difficult to sail smoothly,he does not mind resigning as he least cares the power.Basically he is not a politician, but an economist & an intellectual.Let none has any fears on that count.

Be a noble politician.
by Rahul Singh on May 16, 2009 08:34 PM  | Hide replies

Raviji, take a cue from your very senior and respected leader AB Vajpayeeji. Learn to accept the defeat gracefully and correct the mistakes committed in this election, like belittling Manmohan Singhji as a weak P.M.
It is good to appreciate goodness of the oponent rather than being critical always. That the sign of a noble politician

Congress wins, Stable India - [Good for the markets]
by sameer bhagwaan on May 16, 2009 08:26 PM  | Hide replies

This verdict is definitely one for the Congress over its rivals where the rivals werent BJP. There are very few places Congress had made inroads into BJP territory - Rajasthan being the biggest example - Congress simply beat the pants off the Lefties and other useless buggers.
ITs good though - don't care who wins - for those barking about Babri and Godhra - you've had Governments in power, why couldn't these communal people not be brought down? We need to be more concerned about actual development issues. A broked masjid here, a roadblock temple removed there, these aren't core issues. Lets put some clothes on the backs of those slumdogs, shall we?

Advani's contribution
by n vasudevan on May 16, 2009 07:49 PM  | Hide replies

During the last five yearts as Leader of Opposition, LK Advani could not find a single act of Manmohan Govt. as worth making a positive comment! He has always been negative and even abusive (nikamma, weak, stooge of 10 Janpath and so on). The discerning people of this country never appreciated this and now they have shown LKA and his BJP virtually the door. With the kind of divisive, communal ideology they preach and practice, the BJP can never come back to power at the Centre and the forward-looking youth of this country will ensure that they don't. And finally nemesis has overtake the Babri masjid demolitionist Advani. Jai Hind.

I dont agree with ur comments...Mr.Vasudeven...think before writing anything..
I think..Ram mandir should be built and there is nothing wrong if it is built with democratic process...

I am also proud to be hindu..
If telling hindu is communal than its not fair and all BJP state government is doing good development in states so nothing wrong..and i dont judge people with such bias way

"The discerning people of this country never appreciated this "
-- N Vasudevan
...............
Yes, personally hurting MMS by LKA was a big mistake and now it is turning back to only hurt LKA. So was his unfortunate defence of Varun Gandhi equating him with Late Jayaprakash Narayan! He simply forgot that Jayaprakash Narayan had proper education with good academic records. Besides this, he was also outclassed even in terms of Bharatiya culture sensibilities by MMS. The discerning votes,as you put it deserted him.

And over this comes the excess baggage of deliberate communal branding by not just opposing parties but even normally fair media as well.

This is the price he had to pay for associating with RSS which desires a Hindu Nation. The next leader will have to either disassociate from RSS or RSS will have to unequivocally accept secular law. Else the communal branding shall continue and as you rightly inferred BJP can never come back to power.

RSS should realise that their acceptance of secular law can provide superior and fool proof safeguarding of Sanatana Dharma and pave way for constructing Ayodhya Temple.

If this defeat can make RSS realise this, it would be a great life time achievement for Lal Kishan Advani.

RSS should ask itself how can they safeguard Sanatana Dharma if quality people like N Vasudevan are not in consonance with them?

I am glad the Congress has been voted back to power at the Centre only for one reason - Dr Manmohan Singh can continue to be our Prime Minister for five more years. I wish him well and sincerely hope the country's economy will grow under his able leadership. I also hope he will use his considered decisions to have able colleagues in the cabinet
