a well devised game of congress and ncp
by Gautam Sinha on May 18, 2009 04:52 PM  | Hide replies

Earlier when MNS was spewing venom at North Indians, I had commented on this same discussion board that the trigger for allowing MNS to flourish by Congress was that Sharad Pawar had met Balasaheb and thus a possible Maratha votebank by their allies had to be divided. And thus MNS was allowed to gain publicity by Congress. What NCP did was to prove to Congress that it could get other allies for gaining Maharashtra and what Congress did was to show the ally could be weakened. Thus NCP and Congress made peace while Sena suffered. Today the plan is exactly clear.

Abe Sihnja, Raj is kicking you guys on the behind and yet you are blaming the congress for it. The BJP walla people hate all 'outsiders' be it Bihari in Mumbai or Muslims in India. But you and your kind are so wierd. You love the leg that kicks you in the back.

Jay Sen
The biggest coward
by Jay Sen on May 17, 2009 01:03 AM  | Hide replies

Raj Thackrey is one of the biggest shameless cowards in our country.

He was given a free hand by the Congress to create mayhem against North INdians in Bombay - so that the Congress could benefit. The Marathi manoos sentiment played up by him successfully split the BJP-Shiv Sena vote and Congress swept Bomaby-Thane.

When 26/11 happened, commandos from the NSG (largely North INdians) came down to Bombay and neutralized the terrorists. Raj Thackrey was NOWHERE to be seen or heard. He possibly went into his safety hole somewhere outside Bombay - the cowardly rat! Why should North Indians lay down their lives to save Bombay - the abode of the Marathi manoos (as Raj would like you to believe).

Given the mayhem he and his goons perpetrated in Bombay, the state govt should have arrested and thrown him in jail. But no sir - such normal proper action is not Congress culture.

Instead they let him loose on the streets, innocent taxi-drivers and shopkeepers were brutalized/killed. The city police stood by as mute witnesses - they were ordered not to interfere by Vilasrao. So much for good governance - hahahahahahahaha!!!

So next 5 years, we shall witness more brazen attempts by MNS to reinforce the local manoos slogan. And the shameless Congressmen will let him be and make merry.

At the expense of innocent wage earners, poor people and public property.

Bombay's voting boggles the mind!!! Anyways it got the politicos it deserves!!!

Where do you get your history?
"Maratha empire by Shivaji was the only Hindu empire in India that fought the mughals" heard of Maharana of Chittor? We are all proud of Shivaji but please put facts in right perspective

Raj is the Future of Maharashtra Politics
by Prashant Raut on May 16, 2009 09:25 PM  | Hide replies

Raj has announced himself very strongly with these elections. He may not have won any seats but has made enough impact in his first campaign to let Shiv Sena know what harm they have done to themselves by distancing him. Raj is a smart politician. He is not interested in national politics. His aim is clearly for the State legislative elections later this year. Raj is not a goonda as the Hindi media has projected him. He is a visionary and a highly intellectual individual. Thats exactly the reason why his speeches are never shown on TV. Look on the you tube and all will know for themselves. We saluteyou Mr. Thakarey. we wait for you to become the CM of Maharashtra. Jai Hind... Jai Maharashtra

Raj Thakarey is preventing Shiv Sena from coming to power by splitting Shiv Sena's votes. That's the net-net impact of MNS. Congress-NCP is having a hearty laugh at the expense of Raj Thakarey and Shiv Sena.

@Hayden

It is simple, Congress-NCP swept Mumbai because of 26/11. Why?

Unlike various other parties, MMS actually accepted the fault and they did kill all the terrorists or captured them instead of indulging in opportunism which the BJP was 'perceived' to. End of the day, people of India know real well that security sucks be it INC or BJP. They didnt like the fact that BJP was trying to 'benefit' from it. Ultimately security still is an issue, just that they have given MMS another chance.

I am no fan of INC, but anyday MMS sells in India over any other alive leader (with the exception of Vajpayee).

Also another BJP blunder - projecting Modi as the future PM. Fact is Modi doesnt sell outside of Gujarat, even there once the SIT investigation is over it is doubtful.

But BJP should be happy that in states where they (allies) governed well....they retained like Raman Singh and Nitish Kumar.
