Now that the people of India have given their mandate, it's time national parties come together and remove all the mushrooming regional parties from screaming mad in national elections - dividing and cross cutting votes to confuse the actual mandate.
In my humble opinion, only parties with national presence and depth of understanding to handle national needs like foreign policies, environment , economic reforms , industrialization, energy , infrastructure, education, health care, social security , national security etc. should be allowed to participate - after all, there is no way a poor man in a remote village will be able to comprehend how these factors finally contribute to his and his children's development.

god forbid, we don't want any destructive force to head the railways. didi? have you forgotten what she did to the nano project that was supposed to bring job opportunities and development to bengal?

If Mamata comes, this govt. wont last full term wait and watch, shes is the greedest politician today
mayawati got landslide vidtory in UP not due to her magic formula but due to misrule of Mulayam Singh. She would not have got the victory if the ruling party was doing good to people & had ground connection with the people. What mayawati doing at present is simply encashing the opportunity she got to rule. If congress wish to come back to power in UP they have to use Gandgi family again to go to people & gain their faith that they will do good to the people ( not only by saying but also by doing ). Mayawati will not return to power next time if she does not change herself & take concrete action of winning the peoples confidence by doing something good for the people.
