Here is a verse from Viduraniti
Chapter 33.Verse 47 'Society suffers from mal-administration. The haughty enjoyer escapes. Who creates the condition (The King) get the blame.'

Change has come
by Amlan Banerjee on May 16, 2009 06:18 PM  | Hide replies

We in West Bengal were eagerly looking forward to this day. Many young people have seen nothing but C.P.I.(M) since their birth. Nobody could even think that any party other than Left can ever be victorious here. Year after year we silently voted for the opposition in the hope of change which was elusive, even in the year when Mamata was the sole opposition TMC candidate to win from West Begal. This time too, even the TMC people who came to campaign in my home were quite dejected after Left used muscle power in Keshpur in previous stages of election. But somewhere there was a hope. No empire lasts forever..but CPI(M) and its cohorts used to think that they'd last forever. Intellectuals who used to support left and get various benefits, police officers who got money and prime postings, coordination committee members who reaped prime postings and indulged in corruption against their support to the left are now all afraid. They are afraid that in the tide of change they will be avenged of all the wrongs that they have inflicted on the opposition. This victory is still not sinking into the minds of people....but time has come for this Hitlarian Regime to become History. Change has come at last.

Amlan,
I would love to see Bengal free from all those evils that you have mentioned under Mamata's tenure as CM. I am sure that you are even more optimistic than me that the change will dawn soon to make Bengal free from "Hitlarian Regime" according to you but not me.

TMC and left of the left politics.
by Jagadis Bose on May 16, 2009 05:34 PM

For all the left bashers out there remember that TMC and Mamata Banerjee has won the election by trying (successfully) to out-left the left. In fact, she has repeatedly said that CPM is not a "true communist" party and that she has no problem with the other parties in the front. This means that the space for Left wing politics in West Bengal and India is alive and well and the Left Front will now have to fight to regain this space. Mamata Banerjee's coalition of the ultra-Left and the right will soon show its internal contradictions.

Left's rout in Kerala
by true tamilan on May 16, 2009 05:28 PM  | Hide replies

In Kerala, cpm openly courted mozzies and took kristians and hendoos for a ride.

Temple endowment minister Sudhakaran can be seen every other day on tv ridiculing hendoo shrines and henduism.

Left got terrorist madani release and campaigned with them. Left even declared stipend in madrasas. Can you believe this? Marx will be rolling in his grave,

Kerala bishops worked overtime to bring left down.
