Your hate to BJP is understandable but that doesn't mean you can write anything. All the opinion polls shows the voting trend that Educated class especially PG's and Professionals supports BJP more than any other party. The strength of BJP lies with educated, middle class and urban population.

JFU what ideology did the Bharat Jalao Party have that you are talking about their ideology. Their entire campaign was hate speeches & abusing Congress. If that is ideology for you then be it so Man. But I support & agree with you fully that Informed Indians voted the Bharat Jalao Party. Jai Ho. Jai Hind. Jai Bharat. Jai India. No Majority / No Minority / No Religion / No Region. Only India & Indians.

It is unfortunate, but it is true, many educated people fall for hate propaganda. All over the world the impetus for hate filled extremist politics come from the educated well-to-do classes mainly because they are not affected by the strife that follows. It is also handy for them to keep the poor people engaged in these fanatic activities. You will also find support of well-to-do overseas people for extremist politics like Khalistani's, Islamists, or the RSS/ BJP. This is because of the inborn insecurity of these people who find solace in identitiy politics, especially when they are away from their moorings.
But informed, intelligent people do not fall for the propaganda of extremist religious parties like BJP or the Islmist type.

there is no generalization possible, how can educated people in one state vote BJP and another state vote Congress? Indian politics is not that straightforward. Only when every single person is made to vote and the post-poll alliances are banned, the real outcome will be known.

it means the knicer wallahs were behind those attacks sice 5 years....got your point
As usual not too many educated people voted, look at Mumbai, who voted we all know. Plus Advani, should have projected Modi as the PM, he is personally responsible for this debacle...

You said the correct thing. That is the reason behind victory of BJP in Ram Mandir issue,Gowdra riots.... BJP should have rake up some issues
Re: Re: BJP tried being a moderate party
by pamsask on May 16, 2009 04:59 PM
The Bharat Jalao Party tried to rake up another issue in Pilibhit but Maya Madam put NSA on Varun & got him locked up even before Pilibhit became an issue. No prob NSA has been removed by Supreme Court now but during most of election campaigning Varun was in jail. Good work Mayawati. The only good work that she did in her entire career as Politician.
