A Silver Lining
by Khandu Patel on May 16, 2009 09:47 PM

The results must come as a disappointment to the BJP that it will not assume power. It is also tragic for India. The silver lining is that a few short weeks ago, the BJP was fearing for its existance. That it retains its position as the lagest opposition party has firmly ensconed it as a Hindu nationalist party in contrast to the socialist anti-Hindu Congress. It should never have been the object of the BJP to succour Muslim favour in the way in which Congress has done. It has done it no favours in the election. To be wrong as they were last time is one thing but to be wrong twice points to systemic failure. The party needs to address this failure.

Lack of Leadership
by Deleep devasia on May 16, 2009 06:03 PM

BJP appears to have no solid leaders.. and many times, LKA casts signs of immaturity in his words...
I had Great Expectations of the Vajpayee Govt. I thought they would implement their election agenda like citizen ID card and number for the secirity of the nation. Again they havent kept their words aboutt the temple-masjid stuff (what ever it may be the reality or truth).
They simply didnt keep their words. It appleared like playing gimmicks to pull people to them thru the Pokhrsn II (It was good to prove our capability but at the same time it created another nuke power - Pak).

Even in asmall state like Kerala, where BJP is limited to a few Local Self Government members only (no where near to have a MLA or MP), infight and lack of unity is at its peak resulting in fights and splits. (Of course splits and in party fights are there in other political parties Kerala, but they have some position in Kerala politics)

Such innate weaknesses along with the non-cosmopilitan ideologies (no 'vasudhaiva kudumbakam' or 'harischandra' values in practice)will not contribite to a stable and solid ation...

We need a solid and stable nation, with a constitution raj! Where the minds are free and the heads are high!

Reagan did quite well as USA's oldest president. Age comes with wisdom, you seem to forhet that, Wait until you get old and see if you feel you should be kicked out. You think the rapist1 Rahul is the man. OK.

BJP lost when they lost Rajastan State elections....
by KMR Overseas on May 16, 2009 04:53 PM  | Hide replies

Internal fighting and lack of charisma cost BJP to a certain extent. Just to remind, most of us may not even reach that age, but at 81, LKA’s contribution to party is highly admirable. No doubt, new generation need new leaders and BJP understands this too.

Ban digital media
by Indian on May 16, 2009 04:41 PM  | Hide replies

Guys,

Most of people knows that NDTV,Times Now were campaigning for congress and were completely biased and unreasonable. I have few questions.

1. If you see their show, they won't let any NDA person to finish what they are trying to say..Before NDA person finsh, they draw their conclusion and panalists wll overpower that.

2.When Rahul Gandhi campaigned for UP, congress lost badly, they didnt think it was Rahul's defeat..when NDA lost they were discussing eventhough modi campaign still NDA lost so it was Modi's defeat.

3.Eventhough modi did development in gujarat too, today all anchors were projecting him as extremist. No body ever utter appreaciation for development he did in gujarat.

4.Media projected definiation of secularism which suites congress. Give all rights to minority and ignore majority is secularism. You can say Ram doesnt exists..You can say that Muslims have first right on all resources of india, but you can not say pro hindu.

5. Did Any media discuss High court's and supreme court comment of NSA on Varun?

6.Did any media discuss SIT comment on Tista Setalvad?

7.Did any media covered that Priyanka's father in law have commited suicide?

8.Media covered that even Priyanka's childeren are 5th generation of Naheru/Gandhi family.

9,Media is crying for Gujarat riots for last7-8 years. Did they ever mention victim of Godhara train?

10.Media is crying for Kandhmal, did they give even 1% importance of conversion and killing of swami?

I have decided today that for the sake of Baharmata that I won't watch any news channel, and by that protesting their biased way of journalism..I can be keep uptodate by reading online balanced web site..If all unsatisfied indians can do that, we are serving bharatmata by closing these channels who get lot of money from congress and outside organization..Please do it if you think something is wrong

UPA's Rise and NDA's Fall
by Aatif on May 16, 2009 04:40 PM  | Hide replies

First of all I would like to congratulate UPA for geeting the top honours of forming the government again and i am suprised that BJP which has also done good in some states, while i had thought it could have not done so fair. Overall its UPA which is in the lead and it will form a good government again without any colations for 5 years.

Mr. Manmohan Singh is the guy who is the one who can hold india together for another 5 years at this times and Mr. Advani should rest with Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee and do seva of him as well as all BJP/RSS candidates.

Once again Congratulation UPA, better luck next time NDA, CPI, and Third front

by shilpa on May 16, 2009 04:39 PM  | Hide replies

C'mmon frinds! Winning elections doesn't mean they will be able to rule in same style. We should now take actions if something goes wrong. Secularism doesn't mean favoring minorities. Being soft to anti nationals not allowed. We should take advantage of digital media and ensure that nothing goes against nation. Then really we will say Jay Ho
