Tactical Mistake by BJP
by rajender kumar on May 16, 2009 06:15 PM  | Hide replies

BJP made a tactical mistake by building up the whole compaign arround Advani. It miserably failed to highlight the failures of the govt and real issues concerning the people. The whole idea backfired. So he should accept responsibility and resign. This election has clearly highlighted the fact the people don't like personal attacks, and emotive issues. they support the performer . See Nitish, Shiv Raj Chouhan, Sheila Dikshit, YSR , Naveen Patnaik. One more thing - it seems that indian politics is moving towards two party system and the blackmailers are being put into their place. Good for Indian Democracy

No my dear....BJP was all along doing negative campaign...targetting Manmohansigh, slogans like buliding Ram temple, prohibition of cow slaughter, removing special prililedges for kashmir, even they mimicked congress compaign song Jaiho.

I can say, only good aspect of election is moving to 2 party system. Now BJP has to work hard and get to know there own caders and supporters. They lost touch with them. They started corruption in giving ticket for candidates. DELHI is classic example. Most fo Delhites are educated, but Arun Jaitely make good money and distributed ticket as per his wishes. Stupid mistake took all the 7 seats away from them. Even BJP symethizers never went to vote for candidate selected by Arun band wagon in Delhi. We need leaders who should stop criticising, rather than do constructive work. Advani, was biggest villian of Kandhhar case, when Masood Azhar was escorted to Kandhar. People will never pardon him for his this stupid act. Later he started praising Jinnah. How he thought he will be P.M. Has it been some clean leader, from BJP they would not have lost Delhi and Rajasthan. Raje and Arun jaitely both are USELESS.

Good, if he owns responsibility of the defeat & resigns. If any one to replace, it could be Sushma Swaraj or Jaswanthsingh. Had he even given slight indications earlier, BJP would have won 10% more seats. Who wants such old person as PM?

Jaswant Singh is another useless person. he is also to be blamed for escorting tererrists. Bring some young, and clean imagae leader. Modi and varun should come in forefront. Modi should appologize for any mistake he did if at all during Gujrat rights and move on to repair his own image. Public will forgive him if he honestly do so. We need leaders of progressive ideas. Who can take Country to next level.

It lost Uttarakhand because of infighting. BJP was finished way back last year because of the way the CM was running the office.

People want development and not merely slogans. Who so ever will ensure development will win - irrespective of party/caste/relegion- see Nitish/Modi/Naveen/Dikshit/Shiv Raj..

Yes indeed. They were lucky to get away in Gujarat. BJP needs a media voice. The MSM is totally anti bjp and will do anything the congress tells them to. FYI - Media houses received their own bailout package recently to the tune of 400 crores :)
This was a reward for being Congi's mouthpiece

It's time for Advani's Sanyas.
by Vish on May 16, 2009 06:05 PM

Following tradition, Advaniji should take Sanyas. The irreparable damage has been done. India and particularly Hindus will pay for Nehru's litter's win. It's time for young, dedicated and charismatic leaders to lead.

BJP should learn how to develop hard working party cadres like DMK,ADMK,PMK,DMDK, MDMK, etc to work for party in the down level. They are still acting like ministers in mind. Nominated leaders will never be able to bring results unless there is a wave.

He is one man who hold the Congress by their hair.
by jyotigraha on May 16, 2009 05:49 PM  | Hide replies

If he resigns, the country will see the arrogance of Congress, its softmess towards terrorism for vote bank politics, its tacit ignorance for dangerous, silent invasion from the east, its talk of secularism for Hindus, its silence on brutalities on the Pandits and minorities in Pak,its refusal to apply the same law to all citizens( family planning for Muslims),etc...The secularist Hindu will realise what he is doing ,but then it would be too late.
