Mahasweta Devi the pseudo-intellectual.
by pradeep sharma on May 15, 2009 02:18 PM  | Hide replies

Mahasweta Devi is comparing Gandhiji with Mamta? Why does not she joins TMC instead of claimimg neutral which is really ridiculous. I don't know how dare she claims herself as an intellectual? She is really pseudo-intellectual.

It does not even mean that she knows nothing. Me & u know everything.
But is is better for all of us to use correct words against figures like Devi.
"How Dare" is not the correct way. And advising her to join TMC is uncalled for. We dont expect Subodh Sarkar or Soumitra Chattopadhyay to join CPIM even if they support leftists.Dont u think so?

Mr.Nandi Subodh Sarkar or Soumitra Chattopadhyay and many other express everywhere that they support Left Front, their position is not hidden.Likely we expect that Mahasweta Devi/Suvaprasanna first declare that they stand for TMC.

No I dont consider Soumitra Chatterjee or Subodh Sarkar or PC Sorcar as an politician even if they support the left.Specifically Suvaprasana & Bratya Basu has openly supported TMC. No one can be neutral. Kaushik Sen has asked for change in scenario but has not supported TMC. Lets respect their views.
But this question was never asked all this years when most of these intellectuals had supported the left. So why today?

All theories are fine. But, the Practical situation will be totally different. Mamta and Left will not be seen together, DMK and AIADMK will not be seen together, JD (U) and RJD/LJP will not be together, etc. Yet, the media says that the Congress has an edge.

Carrot's wife is the sister of Prannoy roy's wife.
So he will say all lies and at the end will support congress.
If congress has the guts, they should sit in the opposition, shaow their real courage in not accepting the Left's support.but they wont do so, b cos of the NRI( Non resident Italian). she's afraid that if BJP comes to power they will definitely get details of money stashed in Swiss bank, and most of the depositers will be "con"gress men and women with NRI's name in the first.somehow they want to cling to power.

Formal & official Land acquisition notice was issued by govt of west bengal before all this happened.
Maoists had come out openly only due to lack of governance by WB Govt. Why dont the govt stop the operations of CPIML etc etc by declaring them illegal. It was done against SIMI a few years ago. So why not against the maoists?
The Bhumi Uched... group was formed by many people including TMC activists , Sidiqullah Chowdhury , common leftist man also who had feared loosing their land. It is such instances which promote extraleftists like Maoism.
Killing of all man is condemnable be it TMC be it Left. But such issues should not rise in the first place. It was wrong for the left govt to issue land acquisition notice at the indulgance of Laksman Seth who is facing the heat now.
I know the full details so I dont misinterprete & I have never asked you to support TMC nor the Left.
But when we write something it is better that we know the whole story behind it and not one sided view.
What I have written above has been acknowledged by the CM himself when he expressed his anguish & mourning and agreed that it was a wrong step.
Regarding the doctorate degree , I am not Mamata's secretary so u may ask Mamata itself.
But that does not make her a bad person in my eyes nor a corrupt leader

Lets talk about third front.

WEST BENGAL: Left always goes towards congress and mamata banerjee no way but has to go to NDA
ANDHRA PRADESH; TDP cannot support Congress has to go to NDA. Since they have a chance to come back into power in AP they need centre support. Congress doesn't support if it is in power so TDP has to back NDA.
TAMILNADU. Chances of both alliance having 50-50 (20 seats each to DMK and ADMK). Both cannot be in one alliance any one could support NDA.

So advantage is with NDA

Mamta Banerjee is only fighting for her self....her main goal is to become the CM of West Bengal and for that she can do anything....she can say to Mr. Ratan Tata that 'you are not required here', she can shift between BJP and INC several times..she can be so sympathetic to farmers...she can be so sympathetic to the petrol auto puller....she can be very much concerned about pollution...In one words to gain cheap popularity and of course the chair of CM she is trying to pull back the state....After 16th there will certainly be some sort of understanding between the left and the congress and she will be kicked out of the equation...SHE DESERVE IT....

Request you to please set your foot on ground before u discuss such issues. Ever been to any rural area and spoken to the people?
Leftists had joined hands with both BJP (1988) & the Cong (last 5 yrs). Indian politics is not so easy my friend.
You may not support Mamata's ideology but please dont call her power hungry because she is the one and only politician in India today who can resign from ministry when Tehelka corruption issues were raised.
I myself respect left ideology and the way older leftists led their life. Even today Biman babu lives in a commune in Allimuddin. It is indeed admirable. But the leftists have moved away from their ideology today. Lets accept that truth

Politics of hate
by dranil on May 15, 2009 01:53 PM

Madam mamta (i dont know why the name chosen?) always seems to be indulged in politics of hate. For many years she even couln't stand the site of the 'hand' and she spoke badly against it. Now she has grabbed that same hand for mutual benefits and survival. She hates left from within for her fiery speeches and also acts failed to woo voters for all these years and her dream of becoming youngest women CM of WB turned sour. She now hates herself that even at the age of 90 she cannot become the CM. Where is the question of her standing and or going? no one in fact trust the woman. She lost whatever small political name she had after what she did with the Tata's nano. Such people need to be bycotted by all political partise and also voters!

GOEBBELS TRUTH IS WHAT LENIN FOLLOWED- SAY A LIE A HUNDRED TIMES AND IT BECOMES TRUTH

LENIN SAID - ONE MAN WITH A GUN CAN CONTROL 100
BUT THAT TIME THE AK47 WAS NOT INVENTED - NOW THE AK-47 USED BY CPIM CADRES IN NANDIGRAM TRIED TO CONTROL THE LAKHS WHO WERRE ERSTWHILE CPM SUPPORTERS.

THE INTELLIGENTSIA HAVE GONE AGAINST THE CPIM AND THAT HAS BEEN A GREAT BON FOR HER.

THE POOR FARMERS THINK THEY HAVE ONLY ONE SAVIOUR IN MAMATA

THE CPM CADRES WHO HAVE NPOT GOT THE LARGER PART OF THE PIE THAT THE TOP LEADERS HAVE TAKEN AWAY ARE NOW WITH THE TMC

MAY BE WE CAN SEE A MAJORITY OF SEATS WITH MAMATA AS RIGGING WAS STOPPED IN MANY CONSTITUENCIES. SHE HAS LEFT ALLIES IN HER PARTY AND THIS HAS HELPED HER TO BECOME MORE SUBDUED AND CUNNING

GOD HELP THE CPIM TOMORROW

MY PREDICTION

1.14 TO LEFT FROMT
2.28 TO OTHERS WITH MAMATA NEAR THE 19 MARK
KOL [N] , KOL[S[, DIAMOND HARBOUR, MATHURAPUR, JADAVPUR, BARASAT, BASHIRHAT,, ULUBERIA, HOWRAH, CONTAI, TAMLUK, BIRBHUM, ARE SOME OF THE SEATS THAT SHE MAY WIN
