NOT anymore.

Greed takes away Industrialist money into corporate parties/alcohol/bribe/more greed for money, MNCs have their own evangalical culture.

balaji - they did some good long ago, having counter missionary camps all the way from Nepal to Nagaland to India to Sri-Lanka.
If the missionaries built church, they put Hanumanji in a church they build nearby. If they give Bible, counter missionary gave Gita. If they give Coat, the counter missionary gave Kambal...
Infact on few occasions, missionary paid person started to quitely visit mandir (homecoming).

Now the counter missionary zeal has died because of MANY MANY REASONS like greed driven mafia backing dynasty, etc. etc.

ANY IDEA WHO HAS GOT GUTS TO STOP CONVERSION
by balaji on May 15, 2009 11:06 PM  | Hide replies

After Kerala TN Orissa missionaries aggressive in AP and Karnataka
Alarming 5 fold increase in Kandhamal Christian population from six per cent in 1971 to 27 per cent in 2001 ,It began with the arrival of Christian missionaries in the area who found the remote region very conducive to conduct prosetylization amongst the poor tribals. The conversions continued unhindered until the arrival of Swami Laxmanananda who put strenuous efforts to stop conversions and help reconversion to Hinduism as well. If not for his effort Kandhamal would have been another Nagaland in the making where the separatist movement has wrecked havoc in the state.
The aggressive Christian proselytization in Orissa today pitched previously peaceful tribals into warring camps of Christians and non-Christian. This has has vitiated the peace that has existed with various communities for millenia.
Why Orissa
Orissa has been specially targeted because of a huge tribal population. This allows the missionaries to work from the scrutiny of the media and carry our their nefarious activities.
In Kandhamal district, for instance, the Christian population has increased from six per cent in 1971 to 27 per cent in 2001, despite a law enacted by the Orissa Legislature in 1967 to prevent conversion by allurement, coercion, bribery and cheating.

Mr.Balaji,,\
This has no relevance here in this discusssion .In all discussion you are simply copy pasting this conversion verbal juglery.Do you have no other issues in india? Poeple wont get water and food ..u can afford but u need a temple out there in avodhya. The whole issues that india facing will be solved out of that. You may ask the great Modiji to start the second karsevak procession.

most interesting question is how did the missionaries manage to convert any one. :-)

All that the missionaries do is preach. The people who listen and are convinced get converted, else they stay in their same religion.

During the kandhamal attacks, the rss workers tried to convert the christians back to hinduism through use of force threat and torture.

Bogus Internet Campaign by BJP.
by Rahil on May 15, 2009 06:44 PM  | Hide replies

After realising its defeat in print and visual media BJP leader Advani and his toughs has started a very well planned strategic to mislead the youth of India by the help of some jobless IT professionals due to Economic resurgence.
This Team of IT professionals under the guided by top BJP toughs like Sudhanshu Mittal, Jaitley are well paid and assigned for 24 hours duty to illustrate fall projection that BJP is a favourable party of Indian youth by hacking some communities and groups of some social internet networking sites like Orkut, Facebook, and yahoo.
If some one tries to post anything against BJP he will be banned or that tread will be deleted.
Advani’s dream of replicating Obama’s election campaign and becoming PM will never fulfil because of his sham policies.
This fake publicity campaign of BJP will burst like water bubble very soon.

Its time BJP owns a TV channel else they will be buried silently
by annamalai on May 15, 2009 04:22 PM  | Hide replies

REAL FACE OF biased INDIAN MEDIA.
Every media is owned by overseas Christian organisations. It was difficult to believe but the Election coverage by TV Media is prooving the point.
BUT NOW IT IS PROVED BEYOND DOUBT.
(1)No TV Media aired the News on the suicide of Senior Vadhera. If any such death had
happened in the family of a BJP person, the Media would have gone agog with the
news.
(2)Teestha Setalwad was exposed of creating most of the Gujarat Riot Stories and in
fact taken the Supreme court almost for a ride.Imagine a similar offence by the
opposite side. There would have been discussions, hen fights, opinion polls and
SMS surveys.

The MEDIA OF THIS DECADE WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR AGES TO COME. IT IS A BLOT ON JOURNALISM.

Is there any Indian who will lodge a criminal case on Testha Setalwad for her crimes against the communal harmony of this country?

2009 will be begining of the end of left parties
by abboral boral on May 15, 2009 03:58 PM  | Hide replies

I think 2009 will give a solid signal to end the multiparty politics in India .Prediction of results are no more a easy game for any big or small political parties .Scientific and science has entered for counting of votes as well as results .Even now a days no body can conclude the body language of voters will bring vote for their party and candidate .people are intelegent enough to select candidate and party as per their performance .So I believe 2009 will give big parties a good no of seats for forming a stable Gov .All small parties will get very less seats and slowly they will either vanish or merged with big parties .Regarding left parties ,it is now clear that their numbers are numbered and no longer they represent peasants, farmers ,labour class and slowly they will be vanished from Indian democratic politics --West bengal will give the signal of ending left politics .Congress has become really old and lost their once spirits, morality ,spark and slowly becoming a party of Leader's choice but not by people choice .So that remains BJP as the only people's choice of party where 80% people remains one faith of choice since Ramayana and Mahabharat time .I imagin NDA will form next Gov ,it is sure .BJP has to go on people's line in future and no longer they can effort to push their wish or choice to people .People of India is total secular and no such hatred or vindictive nature in their heart .All religion lives in India very very peacefully and this the tradition of India

Agreed with u 80% except ur views on BJP.
BJP cannot change itself since it is controlled by hardliner hinduism. So every other party will call it non secular.
Best point was raised by Mr. N.Ram few days back. He tells BJP will become secular in the eyes of all other smaller parties if it gets more than 150 seats

Nice answer Bhaskar .Now time has come for both BJP and Congress to work for the people particularly Rural populations (70%)whome they have neglected last 60 years and virtually no developments are done .2009 will give them signal whether they want politics in the name of religion, caste ,creed ,regionalism or to work really for the rural India .If they fail then India will go to anarchy and if they succeed then India will be called a superpower with in 10 years .We all know writting my points of view will not get noticed by BJP or Congress but I am happy that my points are remains black and white in this forum .I still believe pen is mightier than pistol

A small correction, it was Cho Ramaswamy and not N. Ram(a hardcore communist). If BJP leaves Hinduism it ceases to exist, I mean then there is no difference between them and others.
