Sattvic forces and the Communal card
by floatsam on May 15, 2009 04:00 PM  | Hide replies

INC under Manmohan Singh has once again opened the communal card to wrest control over the Centre. To the combine seeking the Central power the safeguarding of Sanatana Dharma is a non-issue. Their primary motivation is a negative one; to keep Hindutva at bay.

Better way would be to upgrade Hindutva to Bharatiyata.

Bharatiyata alone can unleash the Sattvic forces to safeguard Dharma and bring proper social and economic prosperity. It is this idea, ABV had presented in form of a simple slogan Jai Vigyan, as an addendum to Shashtriji's Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan. Let us hope NDA shall receive the mandate to complete this upgrade of political software.

The problem over here is that hindutva has further degenerated to Moditva, representing use of state machinery to unleash terror on minorities. Talibaan is on the run because it is on the wrong side of law and deserves it at least until totally destroyed. But here the protagonist is moving free as a star campaigner, which is a threat even to hindus who are peace-loving. Violence does not end violence on the contrary it breeds further violence. Bharatiyata is a good concept but are there any takers in the RSS? Their mindset is to condemn any opposition to their warped policies as anti-national without even reasoning that hindutva is dividing and destroying the nation on communal, caste and regional basis presently unacceptable to any peaceloving Hindu, not to mention causing insecurity and retaliatory actions by those marginalised. If rules of democracy are mutilated and re-written, anarchy, unrest and violence cannot end. Jungle rule, mobocracy and injustice will breed further.

Prez Kalam had called for Positive thinking to make India a developed nation. Bharatiyata of NDA represents such positive thought.
