Make no Mistake, WB govt - communists - have always been pro weaker sections. They made sure no rich businessman/industrialist can exploit / suck poors of WB.
BUT... those SUCKERS had alternate options.
They moved to other states of india where govt was quite okay letting poors be sucked.
RESULT... Business / Industry did not grow in WB.
Had whole India been a level playing field for Industrialists, Communists would have shown their true potential.

There is something called business and business is not for philanthropists. It is done for the mutual gain. West Bengal did not realize this and plunged the state 30 years backwards, where unemployment reigns and poverty rules. Industrialists create jobs and feed families. Fine if WB doesn't want industries let it be. I thank TATA he left WB. An industry can not prevail in a place where work is not respected and temples called factories are not worshiped.
You said THINK about potential of Communists ..,.its really horrifying to think even, as India would move 100 years backwards into the dark ages.

With due respect to Mahsweta Devi I think she has lost her bearings when she compares Mamata to Mahatma. I agree with her observations about Left Front fully.

Only 670 people have been offered jobs...?? I wish this is the right time we protestr against these so called intellectuals and make them dumb..

hai Mr Just for your kind information I am basically from near Haldia and I am a registered unemployed from Durgachak (Haldia) employment exchange and also you should also know, I registered my name (1996) in exchange after passing chemistry honors. I never get any call letter from haldia petrochemicals. so u can believe the opportunity of job in HPCL. anyway I passed Master (org chemistry), done phd (synth org chemistry), now doing postdoc in japan. You have also obeyed that nano factory can give job 10000 directly or indirectly, and due to this factory jobless will be 13000 (which is also given by u), so please think how profit of this factory. and another thing u must know if u are a bengali that in west bengal within the world u can get ur full meal lunch for only 15 rs still now, and u should know this is not for 32 yrs rulling party govt, for only our huge cultivation. So please think that. yes industry must need but not in fertile land.

no I want to say u that govt gave us 100000 job vacancy will be produced in HPCL. Yes it may not be 670 because, i have gone so many times to HPCL, and it is sure that its permanent employee will not more than 1000. yes if u take indirect employees who works in daily or contact basis or contactual labour for some construction companys etc will not more than 5000. I am sure that its direct and indirect employees will not exceed 5000 at any circumstances. I know these from my friend who is an employee and got his job by giving money indirectly to a political leader.

Has Mrs. Mahasweta Devi any idea about how many ancilliaries would have been there? So, mother plant plus the anicilliaries will produce only 300 jobs? And Singur as a whole how many people would have been associated indirectly to earn? Let her go there and take accounts in details. And please go to Sananda and take stock and compare and then tell us what Bengal has lost.

U people are crying for one nano, why do you not crying for more and more closed industry. yes i also believe, in nano factory only 300 will get direct job from west bengal. other will do contactual job or jobs in their shop. so do not think only one nano factory can change the total financial growth of west bengal and remove the problem of unemployment. And u should know Tata is coming to do their bussiness not to give u people job, so he will take more skilled person, most of them will be from outer west bengal. stop abuse thinking.

Have you any idea about other state? 3)Singur :- out of 13000 land owner have accepted compensation voluntarily. How can you tell that 20000 have lost their land? Moreover, Have you interacted with those "unwilling" of 2000? What they said, are they gainer that the factory did not come up? 4) Agreement with Tata are available with the internet, I have it . Do you want it, then pl tell. 5) do you knwo how the other states have grown with industrlization, what govt had done there for the infrastructure and what benefit the people have got from those work? Do you knaow that all states have Industrial Developments deprtt and allocation of Annual plan is made there? So why the govt will NOT do any infrastructural developments ? 6)We all know about the TMC, what languages they use, what sorts of body languages are shown by them, what vandalisms, road blockade, tree cutting, road cutting, NO protest against the killings by the Maoists, breaking of valuable furniture in Assembly, all we know if they come to power what will happen.
